Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Im due to pick up my uk 300 on tuesday and my mrs says she hates the gold alloys on the car.I was wondering what your opinions are on the subject as I think that the metalic blue and gold alloys are classic subaru colours, women theres no pleasing them

gus the bus Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 << I have to agree wi you guys, gold is definitely the best colour! scoobyuk300 - i bet it's the only form of gold yer wife doesn't like.... he he >> PMSL-I'll bet!!!! Bling! bling! Gus (with 4 gold alloys)
IanJ Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 If you want to stick with the STi theme...... But for me it's anything but gold!
chris_c201 Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Anthracite Grey... I was in a similar position as my Mrs hated the gold wheels (tbh i wasn't keen either) so i got them powder coated anthracite and i'm well impressed. Its on a dark blue metallic bugeye. I'll post up some pics at some point in the near future!
stuboo Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Stick with the gold Subaru didn't employ designers for nothing you know!!!!
terminator Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Gold is fine as it was designed for that model. My pref would be silver or anthracite with a polished or s/steel lip. Konigs are sh*t hot.Keep the standards for the winter. It's your choice, your ride mate.
G.T. Posted October 31, 2005 Author Posted October 31, 2005 the funny thing is she drives a GOLD saxo figure that one out but thats women for you . I personaly think gold and wr blue looks amazing though i do like the gunmetal or anthracite on some cars too . think the gold ones will be staying for a while unless santa has any nice 18s kicking around in his sack .
ANDYJDMSTI Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 How can she bnot like the gold alloys on the UK300!!!!!!...........................Bin her and keep the alloys as they are bloody good OZ Prodrive standard items on the uk300.
sharon_mccall Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 << Bin her and keep the alloys >> PMSL - nice suggestion, if not a little harsh p.s. very very tasty motor, those gold alloys look stunning m8.
ANDYJDMSTI Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 << p.s. very very tasty motor, those gold alloys look stunning m8. >> Was my old motor and yes the alloys set the rest of the cars design off nicely
alistair_learmonth Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Gold dont get ma bling vote. Silver/grey or Anthracite IMHO. Never liked following the norm
sharon_mccall Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 << Never liked following the norm >> LOL.......GSP, so why did u buy a scooby then m8? Common as muck they are!
mazheriqbal_mohammed Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Not been the biggest fan of gold wheels myself. I preffer silver or gunmetal rims, just what the doctored ordered!!
spooks Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Got gold and , lets be honest its a scoob colour classic but Bronze is the way to go .................... Photoshopped mine to see if I fancy it and trust me I will be doing this Spooks
sharon_mccall Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 LOL, you not fancy the pink wheels then???
alistair_learmonth Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 nope, think the pink Lacrosse top as pink as a go
5cooby Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Anthracite but, if you are going to change the alloys would it not be best keepin the originals, may add a few bob to your car as it does have the gold wheels just a thought
