gus the bus Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 got the suspension done @ Hypertech today! Car now sits much lower (looks right!) and is much firmer in the bends and going round n round n round the roundabouts Thanks to those (Gordon fae Halleys, Jamie and Chris) for the info on Tein and Hypertech! Who's best for adjusting the Tracking/geometery? Duncan mentioned Prodrive settings???? Now for the next mods (If only I could sell that motorbike!!!) Gus
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 How much for springs and fitting if you dont mind me asking ? Thanks Cal
gus the bus Posted September 30, 2005 Author Posted September 30, 2005 Cal £302.00 all in including the nasty VAT! Worth every penny if you ask me. Gus
Gumball Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Gus Glad you got the Tein springs fitted mate. the car will look low at the moment...............wait for 48hours when the car has settled!!!!!!!! lower than a rattlesnakes belly. Just be careful that you realise there is zilcho feedback. Ie the car used to say "Gus, were going to pop off sideways any second now" now the car wont tell you anything till your on your way already. hard to do granted but caused me to go into a field for crop circle practise a couple of months ago. (and shat driving skills) take care is all. Geometry settings can be done at Progrip which is also in Bonnybridge. cal duncan for the number 01324 812212. the prodrive setting is fierce enough and there are more than a few guys on here/in da club with these settings now. slight drag on the inside of the tyres after a while but worth having. ENJOY
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 How much of a drop then guys ?.......I like the sounds of these if they dont suffer from the dreaded Eibach knock
gus the bus Posted September 30, 2005 Author Posted September 30, 2005 Chris, Cheers fur de warnin mate! It does make some difference. My route from Bonnybridge to home takes in some wild roads (well the back roads do!!!!) "Progrip" thats the name he mentioned. Ma heids like a sieve Will it make a lot of difference with the Prodrive settings? If yip I'll go with that! Thanks again! Gus
gus the bus Posted September 30, 2005 Author Posted September 30, 2005 << How much of a drop then guys ?.......I like the sounds of these if they dont suffer from the dreaded Eibach knock >> 35mm front and 25mm rear. Havent heard any knocks and I'm always listening oot fur them "wots that noise"!!!! Gus
Gumball Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 aye man its awesome !!! you can get some crazy settings up there but the guy recommends sticking with the prodrive setting which is fairly hardcore anyway. £47 i think it was. you now have a newage lower than most also
gus the bus Posted September 30, 2005 Author Posted September 30, 2005 Al gi it a week tae settle doon then I'll Progrip it up!(or down I should say ) Gus
st3ph3n Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Another vote for the Prodrive geometery settings. Got mind done at progrip when it was in getting some other bits done at Hypertech. Which reminds me, Dunc has my Strut brace in and I need an oil change.
fai17 Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 It will make some difference when your geometry is done m8

gus the bus Posted September 30, 2005 Author Posted September 30, 2005 << How much for springs and fitting if you dont mind me asking ? Cal, made a wee mistake with price last night it was £272 all in and not £302. forgot I left a bigger deposit (so to speak!) Gus
gus the bus Posted October 3, 2005 Author Posted October 3, 2005 Folks, attached at the request of some members are a few photo's of the Soob with the Tein kit fitted! Sitting nicer now me thinks!
wrxmania Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Any benefits with the Tein stuff??? I got my Prodive springs supplied and fitted by A F Nobles in Penicuik for £328. This included the full Prodrive geometry settings and check-up. The TEIN ones seem quite expensive if they do not include the geometry too...
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Looking really sweet Gus ! thanks for taking those piccies for us Anymore reports on how she handles now ? Do your flaps hit the dec now Cheers Cal
st3ph3n Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Cal, if your flaps aren't scraping then you're clearly not cornering hard enough.
fai17 Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 << Cal, if your flaps aren't scraping then you're clearly not cornering hard enough. >> Or your suspension is too soft as the flaps is scraping off the ground

Cost was £319 all in including the Geometry set up (Prodrive!) Still to be done by Progrip. I was advised to go for the Tein over the Prodrive by a few people on the Forum (Central meeting run!) Including a Subaru Mechanic!!! I was gonna go for the Prodrive ones originally too mate!!!! Gus

But getting the Geometry done by Progrip @ the end of the week. Gus
