I'll probably pop along during the day at some point to see how things are progressing. Little point in putting my standard car on the rollers though...

Johno - are you not curious to know is she is kicking out factory figures. I'd imagine you'd have 270 bhp at least ?

See you there

I was up early doors and first on...........

See results as follows and video clip to follow ( I have exceeded my bandwidth on my site just now ! )face-icon-small-happy.gif

228 bhp @ 6000 rpm

213 ft.lb torque @ 5000 rpm

Not bad for a car that's essentially standard in the engine / drivetrain department face-icon-small-smile.gif

Any other results to report ?

Ian Baines Mini was kickg oot 219bhp and weighs only 700 kg ! face-icon-small-shocked.gif

Cheers

It doesn't matter which gear you use on these dynos.

Ask Dasktek UK if you want confirmation on that.

Besides, the longer run time of 4th gear wouldn't help charge temps, which you'll be aware is a major limiting factor on your car.

Your car was making it's boost targets in 3rd.

The ramp rate was even altered once to give the car a longer run in an attempt to produce the numbers you were hoping for.

Your car might not produce much less power if you don't use octane boosters after your car is mapped with them, but you may run closer to and indeed experience det.

The advance multipliers on your car were checked and were still at maximum.

The dyno is Dastek, thus the fans and every other facet are Dastek, so identical to Dastek UK in Dalgety Bay. Indeed using your own charge temp gauge the start temp was only 18 C in Aberdeen and you said it was 24 C at Dastek UK.

Your choice to stick with whichever dyno you choose. It's your car.

Several cars produced higher figures than expected yesterday, and cars up to 506(.5!) bhp ran.

I thought it was an interesting an enjoyable day, with a nice atmosphere.

Thanks to everyone who made the effort to come along.
