ian_finlayson Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 Emailed these guys last week regarding service and suppy/fitting of some whiteline gear, springs and anti-lift kit. I've had no reply from them so if any one from there posts here or if anyone here knows them well could you follow this up for me. I'm abroad at work just now but want to sort things out asap for when I get back. Not possible to phone yet but have regular internet access for email. Thanks folks Ian

Gumball Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 money bags? burning a hole? lol i have hardly touched my car in the big scheme of things. just waiting to get most of it done now cos i have come across a good deal on the mods. rather my cash was burning in mine than your twos pockets. that would make you pickpockets as well as gay LOL
ian_finlayson Posted August 9, 2005 Author Posted August 9, 2005 Think I may have found out why still no reply, checked my outbox tonight and noticed that the automatic email that their website produces when you make an enquiry spells their email address, enguiries@hypertechscotland.co.uk. Changed the g to a q an so hopefully will get a reply soon Ian
sma01 Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 not like them not to reply mate, if you havent heard anything let me know and will speak to Duncan for you. by the way, are you def going for whiteline droplinks?have powerflex on mine, and am sure chris(gumball) and swiggi both changed from whiteline to powerflex also as the quality is much better. Just an opinion mate scott
Gumball Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 didnt change from whiteline to powerflex. just bought p flwx from the start. cos they are the horses hot one !!!!!
ian_finlayson Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 Going for whiteline for sure as in the end they do the same thing, only dont look quite so nice. I've seen some great reviews for them too and some good articles. For the money they appear to be the best. Powerflex cost for the rear is the same as all round whitelines. It'll do for now. Still no reply though. Bit dissappointed as I could be spending nigh on £800 in September/October. Thanks Guys if you can give them a push in my direction. Ian
wrxmania Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Finnie, Swifts/Extreme Motorsport in Whitburn just off Junction 4 M8- they are Subaru/Mitsubishi specialists, are authorised Whiteline suppliers/fitters and have experience. They run track cars and the staff have Impreza's and a 400+ BHP Evo Give them a phone : 01501 741548 They'll do a good job at a good price. Many guys on here and MLR have used them. I use them for tyres, oil changes etc. Brian
ian_finlayson Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 Do you have an email address, as I mentioned above I am abroad for work at the mo and phoning isn't so easy
Gumball Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 give the duncster the business. i have spoken to him a secondo ago and he has sent you an email for your prices etc. due to so many people using him now, duncan has agreed QUOTE-TO CUT THE LABOUR RATES OF ME, SWIGGI AND SCOTT many thanks duncan, i knew you were a good bloke.
ian_finlayson Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 Got the email from him now. 90000 mile service needed and he's asked "due to the fact this is the second T belt change are you requiring the water pump/hydralic tensioner/ & bearings changed ?" I dont have a clue and can't read service manual out here at work so...can anyone tell me?? Thanks Ian
sma01 Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 agreed with chris, give dunc the business mate, your car will be in good hands...... as for those questions, am not entirely sure of the answer, although if it was me and there is a possibility they should be getting changed then i would change them - better safe than sorry. quote chris" due to so many people using him now, duncan has agreed QUOTE-TO CUT THE LABOUR RATES OF ME, SWIGGI AND SCOTT " about time as well Dunc......LOL scott
Andy N Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 AWD Motorsport DO know what is required for your service.lol
Gumball Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 nice one. just a pity iy costs us an extra £50 in optimax to get to their door before it even starts. LOL
ian_finlayson Posted August 14, 2005 Author Posted August 14, 2005 I have replied to him about the pump business and I'm just waiting for him to give me a price. Both places sell whiteline gear and I'm fitting the gear myself so now it's just a case of who offers the best deal. Both seem to have a good rep.
sma01 Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Andy, it would say dunc also knows what IS required for the service, he has merely given the customer the extra service of offering him the chance to have the additional items done at the same time, as it is an option and not an actual requirement of the service being done........
Gumball Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 not that he orders scooby sport backboxes for you either when your looking for a japslash thats not AWD we are talking about !! but we know who it is.
st3ph3n Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 I've dropped Duncan a wee email over the weekend. If you're talking to him then maybe get him to have a look at it. Nothing terribly exciting, just trying to sharpen up the handling.
