Johnny50 Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Been a few threads on this. But who is all going down ?
dave_morgan Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 99% def I'll be going Johnny. Spare seat available if required ! Dave
the squiggle Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Heading down also in Playsatans company car I think drb5 is also heading down Grant
coulty Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 I am going down too. Got my tickets already! I will meet you guys there as i am coming up from Doon South to this. Stuart
Johnny50 Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 Cool. Dave, i'll let you know asap. May be taking the Civic down to let a potential buyer see it on sunday. If not, i'll hitch a lift in that Nissan Bluebird and help you pay the costs to get it there.
dave_morgan Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Sounds good to me. Is he likely to buy it there and then? Could probably arrange a good one-way fare for you if required !!
dave_morgan Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Is Steve G still around - would he be up for a trip again do you think? (without chocolate sweeties in the back !!!!) Dave
drb5 Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Yup, also going. Will be down already though, got a night booked for Saturday at some plush De Vere hotel. If you find Steve, Dave, can you let him know about that wee meet, we're sorting out please?!
Johnny50 Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 Spoke to Steve yesterday. He's on holiday next week, but they (Steve, Lorna and Rori) are planning on meeting us there. So no need to worry about stains on yer seats.
andrew_lally Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Where is the TOTB held...assuming its crail, but aint got a clue. cheers andy
Johnny50 Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 Totally wrong direction Andy. It's held at Elvington airfield, just outside York.
Johnny50 Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 Roughly 3 hours Fee. Although it's usually pretty busy unless you head of early and miss the jam to get in.
dave_morgan Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Excellent day out though and well worth the drive in my opinion. Virtually every car on the strip you can drool over for some reason or another. See some pics from last year here.... http://community.webshots.com/album/169915380xCUhEg and here : http://community.webshots.com/album/170342080uoHIXU AndyF finished 3rd last year, but I think Subaru will be even stronger this year. Top speed run is probably their weakest event, but I imagine there will be some developments on that front. (as long as the head gaskets hold together !!!!) Likely events this year IMHO : - Sub 10 sec scooby - A selection of 200mph+ runs - Someone giving Rocket Ronnie a good challenge this year !! More details her : www.totb.co.uk
Johnny50 Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 << Sounds good to me. Is he likely to buy it there and then? Could probably arrange a good one-way fare for you if required !! >> Cheers Dave. But if he buys it...i already have a new motor lined up to get to TOTB in for the rest of the day.

Johnny50 Posted July 30, 2005 Author Posted July 30, 2005 Cheers Doug. Pity you wont be there. Maybe see everyone else there ?
