The STI is not starting.I have no power going to the Fuel pump. It's probably the immobiliser as the alarm is playing up.

So my Scoob won't be at my meet on sundayface-icon-small-sad.gif.

Can't see it being a map problem? If the car was running okay after it was mapped.

What do you mean by the alarm playing up? Symptoms?

Peter

Without having the car in front of me its hard to say

The list is endless.

First of all, check the power at the fuse/relay box under the bonnet. Its on the N/s wing.

The pump should be powered through FBS 5 (it looks like a little glass box)

Check it out and make sure its not blown

On GEMS i think they earth the immobillisor circuit to prevent it from interfering with the ECU

Check the connections around the ECU for any loose earths or connections

As Jamie said it is hard when the car is not in front of you

Agree with AlanG re the map. Something has happened since the car was mapped to bring about the alarm symptoms.

Just wanted to know who mapped it, I wasn't implying it was the map at fault as I dont know the first thing about something like this.

But I dont NEED to know, just wondered face-icon-small-smile.gif

thanks for caring everyone.

it was just the bloody fuse in the dash.

its the 15amp eng/ignition fuse.

STUPID ME but it doesn't say FUEL PUMP on it which i was looking for.

i think i need to up rate the fuse to 20amp for the up rated bosch fuel pump.

is that OK?

does anyone know better..

Stick to the 15 AMP fuse.

You shouldn't HAVE to up the fuses and i'd much rather have the appropriate fuse, just incase something goes wrong in the system, elsewhere.

If that fuse goes again, then you need to find what's causing it to blow.

I'd be surprised if the fuse needs to be changed for a higher rated one Fai.

I run a 280Litre/hr pump in mine with std fuse.

Don't know what std fuel pumps are rated for but Walbro's (assuming that's what you got) are 255Litre/hr.

Play it by ear i'd say and try and remember what the last thing that happened if it goes again.
