Gumball Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Looking to get the legendary GC10 WRC alloys from prodrive but cant seem to source them in the UK. Has anyone else had luck with these or running with these and know where i can get them? These wheels are stunning and i really want to get them asap. saw them on ebay a few months ago and missed the closing date Please help
st3ph3n Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Was looking for a set of these in British Black a few months ago but with absolutely no luck. No idea why prodrive don't sell them here.
Gumball Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 are you not allowed to buy them directly from prodrive in the UK? weird
spooks Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 If its the ones im thinking off you can buy them from STi Racing. They cost a fair bit though IIRC Wheels here Spooks
oobster Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Also Try here or here Both American sites, but they might ship to UK
Gumball Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 Scott- Thanks for the site address. looks like this could be the place to get them Oobster- Thank you too. if i cant get them in the UK i will have to wait 6 weeks for shipping from the USA. prices are between £1300-£1800 but they look awesome and i love them
Gumball Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 I know the picture doesnt really do them justice but these are awesome.
Gumball Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 pete maybe mate maybe, i need wheels for the track but im consdering selling them
imprezapete Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Well I want the gold ones, my ones would be for sale. Pity they wouldn't fit without spacers on your brembos
Gumball Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 mine are slightly scuffed from a time long ago when a taxi driver decided he didnt like scoobys doos and pulled out in front of me. only two wheels scuffed and i would arrenge to get them fixed
Gumball Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 Peter ive searched the webpage high and low at RC developments and cannot find anything about alloys? am i being daft?
oobster Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 i looked too chris and couldn't see any reference to these wheels.
Gumball Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 Pete I cant be botherd phoning cos im a keyboard warrior. can you let me know as soon as you return from Paisleys answer to HongKong please
johnnyr6 Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 There is a company on ebay inamerica who do a very similar wheel by rota for much cheapness and the will deliver to the uk. I can't remember the name but i thinks it's something like subydude.com
oobster Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 www.turrifftyres.co.uk 5-11, Schoolhill Turriff Aberdeenshire AB53 4DX Tel: 01888 562929 They are quoting £699 for a set of 4 inc. "premium economy" tyres.
Gumball Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 thats a picture of the ones Andy has just put the link for. what seems to be the difference here between these and the prodrive yins apart from 1000 quid? they might be heavier than the car itself?
Gumball Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 will these fit my STI? the listing for the offset on his site suggets the WRX and STI offsets are the same. i find this hard to believe clicky
st3ph3n Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 GUMBALL !!!!!! Found them! As a reward I'll take a set of Volk wheels off this guy in return.
Gumball Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 Willie i thought so, then i checked his chart link and it reckoned it was the same. Now i dont know whether to give him the cash and take the wheels?????
Gumball Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 Stephen WOW these wheels are frekin stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!! there on a plate waiting to be bought. 17" though????? dont know what to do now. will i regret getting more 17's??????? pleae help
oobster Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Yup, those are some smart wheels. My opinion (for what it's worth): Go for the 18" Rota wheels. Those genuine ones are stunning, but your getting 18" wheels that are 99.9% identical for half the price. 18" = more bling
st3ph3n Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 I only noticed they were 17"s after I posted that. The guy shifts loads of stuff, I have him in my favourites so I can check what he's selling every week. Might be worth asking if he has them in 18". I personally wouldn't buy another set of 17"s, especially for an STI. Just having a check on prodrive Japan. The GC-010E and the P-WRC1 are different wheels. Both 10 spoke, but one by OZ and one by Rays (I believe) Link here. Also check out the new GC-010G. They're not flush faced, and they are the business in my opinion. Those in british black would look glorious on a black WRX.
