jacqui_robb Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Hiya Fee << picked up my typeR last night ...... 1st trackday today.... Saw Miss Scoobie STi there too.... (i think) >> That was me indeedy Did you have a good time? Was totally gobsmacked when another Black Type R pulled in! NICE CAR BTW Only ever seen one other EVER! (Playsatans). Thanx for the pics. (ps - c when people post up pics here, they Photoshop them first to remove the registration numbers Cheers.) All the best with the car, hope to see you at some future events Track Night was fab Only about 15 cars, and 5 bikes. Cars went out for 20 min session, and then bikes went out for 20 minute session, and so on. Was perfect track conditions - quiet, dry, and good weather. And see the Porsche in the 3rd pic - nailed it every time down the straights
jacqui_robb Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 << PLAYSATAN "Welcome the the type r club Fee, another black one I see. Take it the long sleeve rule dosen't apply to the girls then?" >> Afraid it does! Had been scorching weather all afternoon going down - just as well i had a fleece in the car! Also, no hand held cameras (by both drivers(!) and passengers) anymore. Must be mounted. We had the camera & videocamera down, but thats why we never got any pics/footage BTW Playsatan - other than urs, thats another TWO STI Type R's now, BOTH in black, BOTH driven by women, and BOTH of us have made it round Knockhill WITHOUT spinning off at the hairpin rotffpmsl! << Some more footage including the black classic spinning at the hairpin. 34 MB file courtesy of Gordyq LINK to the file - do not right click first - quality not the Georgie Cheers Cal >>
IanJ Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 I'm guessing that geezer had less than 1/4 of a tank of fuel. Luv Doctor J. Shizzolator
Gee Wr1 Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Hi Fee, That was me with Miss Scooby. Hope you enjoyed yourself, didn't realise you only got car day before! & your out on track already! Good on ya Nice Type R It was a good night with quality track time & good weather. Fun seeing the Porche trying to keep up on the straights EVEN with us suffering really bad with fuel cut out of hairpin & coming over top of Clarks!!!! Anyone booked up for SIDC or other track days take note of the new rules of long sleeves & no cameras unless on proper mounts as Miss Scooby said we had cam but couldn't use it Gee
Gee Wr1 Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 << BTW Playsatan - other than urs, thats another TWO STI Type R's now, BOTH in black, BOTH driven by women, and BOTH of us have made it round Knockhill WITHOUT spinning off at the hairpin rotffpmsl! >> PMSL 1-0 to the Ladies
micra_wrc Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 << << BTW Playsatan - other than urs, thats another TWO STI Type R's now, BOTH in black, BOTH driven by women, and BOTH of us have made it round Knockhill WITHOUT spinning off at the hairpin rotffpmsl! >> PMSL 1-0 to the Ladies >> PMSL go miss scooby! come on the Ladies playsatan, looks like word's out on your little 'mishap' last time you were on the track at KH. can you remind me again what happened?!! Imy
colin_ross Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Well...........................it went something like this. First ever track day but starting to get the feel of it, No famcy gems dccd controller so having lots of fun with sliding out of the hairpin, clarks, duffus anything else that wasn't perfectly straight. Anyway, turned to my old man in the passenger seat and said "watch this" intending to do a mega drift out of the hairpin and the rest is history. Well I wish it was but it looks like I'm destined to be reminded about it forever more. As I've said before I know I'm a bit of a muppet behind the wheel but at least I'm entertaining.
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Getting sideways is more important than lap times IMHO The spool up of Colins chariots means the backend will wag like a dog on amphetamine Not to take anything away from the type R ladeez ! VBH is my hero I hope it's wet on the 12th of next month YEE - HAA ! Back to topic - ladies take it away
Fee Posted May 27, 2005 Author Posted May 27, 2005 hey..... i got it sideways!!! Not really intentional but it was still sideways Wish I could have got there earlier so that i could have had more than 20mins. Was still good though. Miss Scooby STi - Whats been done to your car engine wise? Oh, and nice car too I was trying to catch you by the end.... took it nice and easy the first 10 mins or so
Fee Posted May 27, 2005 Author Posted May 27, 2005 PS.... I'll be there on the 12th Wont be taking the TypeR on, but will prob take it along. Will prob get a few laps in with Adams car.
