I got some cards on Saturday at the shell at glasgow village airstrip. From memory I have the XK8, the RX8, the XC90, that lexus 4wd Luxury Barge thing and I can't actually remember what else.

There's a web address on the cards but it doesn't work. I thought maybe the promo hadn't started and the guy gave me the cards by mistake.

No Subarus and no Porsches, but middle of the road 4x4s? Odd.

I think I'll stop into shell Kincardine for a top up on my way home and see what I get.

Shell occasionally run an Optimax promotion where you have to collect cards with various car on them. If you collect cards with all the cars on them (24 in total), you win a car up to the value of 100k (at least that's what it was last time I think). Generally there are a couple of cars that are rare, and one car that has only one card printed for it. Yo end up with a huge stack of duplicate cards and are convinced you're the only one in the country with 23 of the cards and then get very disappointed when you don't get the final rare card. Rumour has it that the Lotus Exige is THE card this time.

Got 22 out of the 24 already Had a spare set of 22 as well that I gave to ScoobyAndy. But I have a spare set of 20 and 17 if anyone wants them

asked the lady behind the counter @ Shell in Whitburn today when i purchased 45-quid's worth of their finest, only to be met by a blank expression and a mumbled "no idea, sorry"

The same expression when I complain about the pumps on the left hand side of the forecourt (facing shop) which have been INCREDIBLY slow for months and months - "Sorry, did not know that" - at which point I then say I've mentioned it every time I go in

Always avoid those pumps now

Is that the one down past xtreme Brian? If it is, i complained about that too and was told by the 17-year old assistant that "we'll get someone to look at that".

I use the one up the west end now, bit run-down inside but as long as the Optimax is the same quality & price who cares!!!!

Seems weird having 2 Shell stations in such a small town though
