imprezapete Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Hi For sale one 4.5" ScoobySports Stainless steel backbox Reason for sale: Getting a Blitz Nur-Spec R Full Decat System, including a H&S downpipe Models: Fits all new age scoobys and it should fit all classics as well. Age: About 4 months old Condition: Very good, needs a bit of a clean to get tar spots off but no damage to it at all. Miles: About 3.5-4,000 miles Other details: Got this from Carl Davey, good man that bid for this backbox originally. From what I understand the tailpipe for this pipe is new or newish so its very wide compared to the usual Scoobysport ones. Also I have had my car on a rolling road with this on to find that it added around 9-10 BHP and 9-10 ft of torque. (Can provide Dastek rolling road printouts to prove) Located: Around the Edinburgh area Price: £120 Images from Carl Daveys sale on thread Link
Gumball Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 pete A HUNDRED AND THIRTY FIVE POUNDS???????????????? THAT IS A STEAL. IF I WASNT GETTING A PRODRIVE SYSTEM I WOULD HAVE TAKEN THAT OFF YOU!!!!!!!! its too late but i think youve come in too cheap
wrxmania Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Superb Pete! Travel Sickness pills and Ear Plugs at the ready - nothing to beat the rumble! Brian
andy_robertson Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 i gotta prodrive back box any difference in sound??
andy_robertson Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 wish i'd held off i bought the prodrive back box few weeks back and it sounds good but heard the scooby sport one was better
imprezapete Posted May 5, 2005 Author Posted May 5, 2005 I think its louder, gets a good rumble on idle and its very nice at high RPMs Sell your Prodrive one m8 You know you want to
andy_robertson Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 very very tempted trust me but cash is short woth all my mods think i'll stick to my prodrive one wouldnt want to get stuck with it
Carl Davey Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 100% bargain here. For everyone who isn't aware this BB retails at £317.
Ken 275 Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 << 100% bargain here. For everyone who isn't aware this BB retails at £317. >> Got a similar one on my Classic with a centre decat. I think it's louder than the Prodrive job. It burbles at low revs - nice - and really lets rip under acceleration. For the record, the BB and centre cost me nearly £500 (inc. fitting) so this is an absolute steal. Or maybe that just says more about me. If Stefan's still about, he had one with a decatted downpipe on his RB5. I would be good if he could post. Ken
wrxmania Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 Pete, There is someone wanting to buy this in the for sale section here - don't know if you have seen it yet Brian
