Neofox Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Evnin Peeps! I`ve owned a scooby for the past 6 months now and it's been the best 6 months of car ownership! I live in the Borders region that is 60 miles north of Newcastle, 60 miles south of Edinburgh slap bang in the middle of nowhere! I've seen a few Scoobys going around but there seems to be a lack of guys and gals from the whole borders region on the SIDC forums. Now since i know we have the best roads in the country up here it would be criminal to think that their isnt any more scooby owners so this is a big shout out to you all! I'm talking about places like Berwick, Kelso, Galashields, Hawick etc... just hoping we can stir up some members and try and get some meets going. Hope to hear from you. Ian
wrxmania Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 True - distinctly quiet on the East Lothian / (Midlothian) / Borders end of the country. There are some great roads there and would be IDEAL for a Mad August run - organised by The Squirrell and his faithful assisstant
the squiggle Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Welcome Mr Fox Must agree about the roads about your way, esp around Duns. I am more than sure there will be a small invasion of SIDC Scoobs when the Jim Clark Rally appears in the town. Grant
zeolite Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Hi Neofox. Going to the Charterhall rally on Saturday. Could meet up if you fancy a bit of marshalling?
2559B Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 don't think "mad august" has a good ring to it... AWESOME AUGUST !!! now there's a title! c'mon brian... imagination!!! put a bit of effort into it for gods sake! lol
the squiggle Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 With regards to seeing loads of Scoobs about that you know dont frequent the forum or are members of SIDC. I would PM Phil or Dougster to see if you can get some flyers sent you regarding the club/forum. With these in the glove compartment, nail every Scoob you see parked and for every 10 i reckon 6 enquires and 4 future members Another are that is under represented is Inverclyde, must get down there more often and dish some out. Grant

What about Sensational September, Octogenarian October, Narcissistic November or Devilish December???????????????
imprezapete Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Guys, me and ScoobyAndy are always driving about east-lothian, mid-lothian and the borders. We are avid fans of the roads in those areas. I live in Musselburgh and Andy in the Dalkeith area, always fancy meeting up for a drink or some driving. We know some nice roads to play on
McGoo Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 << Another are that is under represented is Inverclyde, must get down there more often and dish some out. Grant >> Grant, There's not too many about down my way in Inverclyde. I've seen one or two which could be recognised as "enthusiast's cars" i.e by having say '555' in the reggie plate but not too many wave back when passing. Cheers Davie
