dave_morgan Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Took advantage of the cheap listing day last week..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=4535582719 Someone used the buy it now last night at £19k. A bit sceptical to say the least as it's not the cleanest feedback profile
oobster Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 what you got your eye on to replace it if the sale goes thru?
Johnny50 Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 It wisnae me Dave...honest. Fingers crossed it's genuine... Hows the hoose hunting/selling ?
dave_morgan Posted March 23, 2005 Author Posted March 23, 2005 Got ideas about a few things.... An S1, or early S2 elise. An oldish RS4 Or just maybe.... Something similar to this - to help keep Shell in business... Need to check out what kind of hoops I'd need to jump through for importing/SVA etc though. I'll get the cash first, get my new house and see how much is left over !! Where you been Johnny ?? Got a deposit down on a new house, and mine's on the market next week. Not fancy a spare ??? How's Honda life treating you??
Johnny50 Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Hey Dave.. Sorry bud, didn't even know you were that far forward with the hoose. I'll mail you anyway, cos i had to get another phone, and all my numbers were lost...doh ! Honda life is good, but not as good as the scooby life...i'll be back in one soon enough !
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Johnnie - Spooks tells me that your modding the Honda like a man on a mission .....you tart !
Johnny50 Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 He he ! Aye well....there's several plans.. All depending which way i want to go... Got the 3 kinds of options.. 1. Turbocharge it... 2. Supercharge it... 3. Go N/A, and do cams, throttle bodies etc... All work out about the same price, but different levels of performance.. Any thoughts..seeing you're an ex Honda man.. ? Here's the N/A stuff i was looking at...All Spoon parts, which seem to get mixed reviews.. http://www.inlinefour.com/encomandac.html
dave_morgan Posted March 23, 2005 Author Posted March 23, 2005 Get some ideas here mate.... ClickyClicky Seriously though, try these guys. Bought some stuff off them a while back and they were pretty well priced. Don't know about international shipping though, as I was working in Denver at the time... I got a turbo timer, spark plugs and a few other bits 'n' pieces...... http://www.sixautoworks.com/
Johnny50 Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Cheers Dave, i'll have a wee sketch through that.
Johnny50 Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Hmmm... Just need to buy a Greddy E-manage ecu and off we go... http://www.sixautoworks.com/catalog/produc...roducts_id=2091
dave_morgan Posted March 23, 2005 Author Posted March 23, 2005 To55er just mailed me to say "sorry havnt got a clue how this went through i definately did not bid on this item - will be contacting ebay to see how this could have happened." Need to try and fight my £36 commissions and listing fee back from ebay now
Hepy Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Sounds a bit dodgy to me. If I wasn't a $hitbag when it came to buying modified motors I might have been interested in it myself. Good luck with the sale mate.
spooks Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Gutted for ya Dave Hopefully E-bay will be OK and refund.... or get the money from the timewaster Spooks

st3ph3n Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 There's some utter f4nnys on ebay. "I don't know how I managed to press buy it now. I don't know how I logged into ebay with my username and password. I don't know how I then confirmed I want to buy the item for the price displayed on screen by pressing the confirm button." It must have been those pesky ghosts again. AYE, RIGHT! My favourite personal one was "My brother must have bought it". To which I replied "why did you give him your username and password?". "I didn't". "Then you bought it, now send me the money or personally refund me the listing + final valuation fee or I'll get ebay all over you". I got my £1.20 in the post 3 days later, all in 20p coins too.
dave_morgan Posted March 24, 2005 Author Posted March 24, 2005 << I got my £1.20 in the post 3 days later, all in 20p coins too. >> Hope I don't get the £36 in 20p's !!!
willie Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Thats a real p1sser Dave... Hope you get it sorted
wrxmania Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Typical, Happened to me several times. Make sure you report a bad user to eBay via their member services. It will at least penalise the member - there are some who think it's a laugh or not real buying - try doing that at a real auction List it again though Brian
Johnny50 Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 << Hwy Johnny, we met at the Autocross, i car shared with ian, dont mention the times lol, well i have AN s2000 Track car so know a fair bit about NA honda power, what honda you got? cheers >> Ahh....i knew your face from somewhere...but never clicked on...sorry about that...should've introduced myself. I'll PM you, and not fill Daves thread up..
dave_morgan Posted March 24, 2005 Author Posted March 24, 2005 No worries Johnny. Are you coming along on Sunday ?? Dave

Johnny50 Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Oh aye...nope, cant make it i'm afraid. Honda is in need of discs/pads...wouldn't want to end up in the back of someone elses scoob !!!
