Guest Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 for the record sogned my contract with Petrofac/NCR yesterday and am offshore the end of next week! and on Murchinson oh joy. anybody in aberdeen want to lend me their driveway 4 2 weeks for a small fee while im offshore cos i aint paying 40 quid to park at the friking airport!
moto Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Good luck on the Murchy Ciaran. A mate of mine worked there for years and enjoyed his time there. How about leaving your car at Petrofac's office? Or you might have an over night stay at a hotel for an early check-in. Some of the hotels let you leave your car for free.
Carl Davey Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Aye, if you're staying at the Scooby Doo (Skean Dhu) the night before flying you can leave your car there. Probably the same with the Speedbird etc. Guessing it's Broomfield house via Shetland for the Murchison?
Guest Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 yes via shetland carl. and am staying at the skean dhu the night before. how far is the hotel from the airport
Carl Davey Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 A stones throw......over the runway. There's a bus that leaves regularly to cart folks round to Scotia/Bristows/Broomfield House, you won't be stuck. Just head out to reception around an hour before your check-in and jump on the one waiting there, ask the driver if you aren't sure. Bond is walking distance.
Guest Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 sound carl how much to leave ur car 4 a fortnite at the skee and dhu then?
Guest Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 if it's cheaper to pay to leave the car than to get the train or their or their abouts il take the pug!
Guest Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 well just recieved my first months wages and a phone call from petrofac fly at 6.15 2moro and thats all i know the told me absolutly nothing apart from that.
johns Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Ciaran, are you flying at 6:15 or checking in at 6:15 ? Generally check-in is 60 minutes before flying though it may be less for the fixed wing. Broomfield House (for the fixed wing) is just before the main airport terminal building. Don't forget your passport either, you'll need this for identification and in case your flight gets diverted to Norway if the weather is bad (very rare though)! John
Guest Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 i check in is at 6.15 staying at skean dhu. yes have to take everything with me especially passport as have to get some sort of card made up or so iv been told. it's fixed wing to skaster and the heli from their on. been warned to make sure i dont get off on the wrong installation. im like a big kid well excited woo hoo
john_robertson Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 It'll be for your VANTAGE Card keeps your records of survival etc on a database. 06:15 check in, remember that check in well at least you'll get an hours kip to Scatsa "Dump". John.
