willie Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 You where quick Brian I was feeling helpful used my super powers and edited it
wrxmania Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Really sorry to read all about this - really unfortunate stuff. Get it fixed though - after all the cost, then just hope it runs well. A real pity. Did you ever get any money from the person you bought t from as he stated in the scoobynet old thread from October? Someone will defo recommend a good garage for you. Brian
wrxmania Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 << You where quick Brian I was feeling helpful used my super powers and edited it >> Thanks Willie - I was also feeling useful although my reply below is not much help
johnnyr6 Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 I'm surprised that jvs wouldn't be interested, have you tried phoning them? Maybe andy is over looking for cars at the mo. Anyway another option is greersport.. defo worth a call to them.
VAL113R Posted January 11, 2005 Author Posted January 11, 2005 I don't think its that they are not interested, I dropped them an email but didnt get a reply. Them being in Edinburgh and me being in Dundee with a non starting car is a bit of a bummer for them would be easier if I could get it to them. I have used them before and was more than happy with their service. Just not local which is a shame as they are one of the few places I would trust to look at the car !
jamie_wood Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Val Have you tried the simple things?? Is the fuel pump working?? Can you hear it when the ignition goes on??Could be pump relay, common. Check all the plugs going to the sensors??? Favorite one for me was air flow sensor or cam shaft sensor. Loads of checks you can do yourself before you need to call on a garage. Hope you dont mind me making this sound easy, I dont know how "hands on" you are. I'm not being cheeky
VAL113R Posted January 11, 2005 Author Posted January 11, 2005 I can be hands on, but prefer to pay someone to fix it. I have done a few bits on the car myself, the biggest fitting the front mount myself... The walbro is still working as you can hear it slightly when you put it to stage 2 I don't have the airflow meter connected as I have a Link ecu It's new HKS Iridium plugs 2 months ago, 4 coilpacks about 6 months ago. Not sure about the cam sensor, I don't know what it looks like cheers
