salsa-king
would 18 X 8.5 J et38 5x100 alloys off a 2005 STi fir on a 2006 Forester? It's the 8.5 width (should be ok) with et38 that worries me. anyone any advice on what the std 17" OE alloys are and what you can go to with after market. tia Link to comment

Wheel options seem to be the same with OEM being a 48 offset rather than the impreza 55. Using Scoobynets Tyre rim calculator, the OEM 17" wheel/tyre info and your proposed wheel and it's minimum width tyre size from chart below Link to comment
salsa-king
does that mean you can go to et38 offset with no problems? Link to comment
The Don
You would need to check the existing clearances. The inner face of the tyre would be about 10mm near the strut and the outer face would be nearly 30mm further out probably requiring arch extensions/lip rolling. Also what 2005 STI are you talking about?? a 2005 impreza STI (wide track) will be 5x114 PCD not 5x100 as required. Link to comment
