ScoobieFloz
I have been thinking , we haven’t raised any money for a charity for a few years now so let’s do it next year again. The question is which charity should we choose? If you have one in mind comment below with a reason why we should choose that charity. Link to comment
scoobyjoff
Well personally a charity close to my heart is autism east midlands who help children and young adults with autism which my son suffers with they do amazing work and rely on charitable donations to help people with this condition deal with the things in life we take for granted so they have my vote 1 Link to comment

subi_kat14
The one closest to me would be the British heart foundation after my grandad who passed away 7 years ago from a heart attack 1 Link to comment

t5nyw
Dementia . Where memories are of a long loved family member are destroyed by a cruel disease. Turning them into a stranger in their own home. Tony Link to comment
ccrien
Agree, Dementia/ Alzheimer's . A timely link, it's left to charities to do their own little bit when big Pharma business pulls out: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-42633871 1 Link to comment
ScoobieFloz
Since I personally suffer from genetic heart failure I was tempted to pick the British Heart Foundation but after much deliberation and research this years charity will be Alzheimers Research UK. We will receive their charity pack within the next week or two. We hope to have some new merchandise to raise money through the club shop and will also post other fund raising ideas on the forum too. t5nyw
Any of the three causes are truly worthy our support. Shame we aren’t big enough to support all. Anyone who can get prizes for a charity auction ? Link to comment
db scoob
Bit late on this one but glad to see the charity chosen as my mum has dementia now and it needs all the help & investigation it can get ... terrible, awful disease.
