Good grief, I bought an impreza for so many reasons;

1: The Noise

2: The Engine

3: The Rally connections

4: The Banter between different owners

5: The looks of the things.

6: The age-group of owners, and their (general *cough* Chris ;)) maturity by comparison with other motoring groups.

7: 4WD. And the way you can drive more or less anywhere, the final trump card for any pub contest. Even my little n/a can compete!

I think thats it for now. I'd hesitate to say I've made friends here, for obvious reasons, but there are those around here I think I owe a drink to already :)

Events like the Colin mcrae memorial rally, making new friendships, the noise of the flat four, being skint through modding and the friendly banter on here.

I bought my first impreza for the earth shattering performance and the tremendous sound. I signed up on here looking for tech advice originally and through that and participation in the forums, I attended events. My first SIDC organised event was the first fling in 2009. I met loads of nice, friendly people there with the same attitude to ownership and the brand. Lots of those people I now call friends. That's what I like best of the scooby world, the people, they make all the difference.

From buying my first Impreza in 1997 and everything scooby related inbetween :icon_pray:

I've had 11 scooby's since then and other marques inbetween but nothing steps up to the mark for all round driving pleasure.....had the current RA for 5 years which is a fookin miracle by my standards :whistle: and have no thought of ever getting rid of it now (even though I've been VERY close to having to part company in the last couple of years :( )

Anyhoo, now even considering getting another scoob as a a daily driver and might be off to look at a couple this afternoon :icon_fU:

Finally, the friends and contacts I've made whilst being in here all add to the enjoyment of Subaru ownership even to the extend of helping getting this place sorted out before it went down the Shanks (no not you Dave :smiley-taunt014: ) and now I've ran away ;)
