Engine management light on so I got it plugged in and says O2 sensor, can anyone tell me where it is. Iv been told by the mechanic there is maybe 2, is that right? There seems to b 1 on the middle section where the cat should be but there is also one on the manifold, is that true? Link to comment

john_mchutchison
Do you know if it's a 4 pin type Peter? I now know its the sensor on the manifold that's faulty. Link to comment
john_mchutchison
The code was p0031, is it fixable or do I need a new sensor? Link to comment
The Don
The code was p0031, is it fixable or do I need a new sensor? Unless the wiring has been damaged, it's a new A/F sensor...... Depending upon exact Model Year (there is no MY55 that's just when it was registered)) 2.0L MY05 SENSOR ASSEMBLY - AIR/FUEL RATIO 22641AA042 2.5L MY06 SENSOR ASSEMBLY - AIR/FUEL RATIO 22641AA211 Edited August 7, 2012 by don Link to comment

The Don
I'll check They are both 4 pin but you need the wide band A/F sensor. Link to comment
john_mchutchison
Is there a physical difference between them Don? Link to comment
The Don
Is there a physical difference between them Don? They would look the same but do different jobs, the A/F sensor being much more expensive. Probably the cheapest place to by an OEM one......http://www.japanesecarimports.net/parts_info.asp?id=4822&cat=0&sub=0&sec=0&var=0&dc=&gen=&searchKey=22641AA042 Edited August 8, 2012 by don Link to comment

You can use one of these........... or both designed to slip over the wiring or a 22mm ring spanner if you can feed the wiring through it. Link to comment
