JoseT2000
Hi, Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of having a lightened flywheel fitted? Have heard horror stories of engines idling at 3000rpm! Or god forbid a loss of torque!!! Am considering having one fitted during a much needed clutch replacement as heard it helps with throttle response ect! Link to comment
spect
I am told that for road use keep a heavy flywheel as it keeps the momentum going, but for track use have a lightened one for more instant response when hammering it, lol. Link to comment

tied old dad
I have a lightened flywheel and the only thing i have noticed is that when you take your foot off the accelerator the revs drop more quickly, which makes trundling upto a red light nearly impossible, but on the upside when accelerating the revs rise more quickly.
