  1. I have to disconnect my battery over the winter or else it lasts about 10 days before dying, not taking pride and joy out onto these salt invested roads.
  2. Sorry rubbish picture will try again also a picture with Subaru swoosh
  3. My scooby with Monster Energy graphics, on the best colour car
  4. I have a lightened flywheel and the only thing i have noticed is that when you take your foot off the accelerator the revs drop more quickly, which makes trundling upto a red light nearly impossible, but on the upside when accelerating the revs rise more quickly.
  5. They will be a straight swop. Zen Performance swopped my 2 pots for 4 pots with no problems, except the wheel clearance was very tight.

    Mappers

I would give Paul at Zen Performance a ring - hes in Wellingborough so quite close to you.
  7. If the alarm is a Sigma, get it replaced as they are known to cause all kinds of problems and the company has gone out of business, so no spares.
  8. My car run perfectly, until high revs in 4th, then splutter and lack of power then if kept foot down it started accelerating again, turned out to be coilpack 3.
  9. Hi I had exactly the same problem with my 1994 JDM WRX, accelerates ok until high revs in 4th gear, flat spot splutter and then if keep pushing on it seemed to be ok. Turned out one of the coil packs was on its way out, replaced and no more problems.
  10. Sigma Alarms are poo, i had one and i am sure the more experienced Technical people on this forum will tell you the same. Changed mine for something that works, also believe Sigma have gone out of business so spares maybe a problem. Sorry
  11. Hi all I had an Apexi FC Commander fitted by Zen approx 2yrs ago, i now have the following problem:- The car starts ok, but after a short time driving just as it is warming up the idle goes through the roof, from 800rpm upto 2500rpm. Nothing i do can rectify the problem apart from switching off, then the car won't start again until it has cooled down, smells and sounds as if the car is flooded. I have noticed on the hand held display that when the idle goes mad the reading of the water temperature goes haywire, anything from -42 upto 9 degrees, the temp gauge on the cars instruments read ok and the extra oil temp gauge i had fitted also reads ok. When the water temp reading on the hand held comes back to agree more with the cars instruments the problem stops. Any ideas, getting fed up now.
  12. Hi I've got a 1994 Wrx, Paul added as extras to what you have already got:- 2.5l engine conversation, decat downpipe, 4 pot front brakes from newer Subaru, suspension from STi5 uprated droplinks and strut braces front and rear and an Apexi commander as i'm pretty sure the ecu you have isn't mappable, this has got it upto 300bhp and 300lbs torque. Good luck and hope this helps.
  13. Hi i hate MOT time, emissions always a bug bear for my scooby. As to your problem i have used these guys and they maybe able to help. Jap Performance Parts 01293 520090 impreza123@tiscali.co.uk www.japperformanceparts.co.uk or Grade a Subaru 01663 744114 andrew@gradea-subaru.co.uk www.gradea-subaru.co.uk Hope these can help.
  14. Has anybody used these people in Warboys, as i am looking for a replacement to Zen. I have an Apexi Commander fitted so need to go to someone who has got the equipment to be able to talk to it.
  15. Mine were exactly the same black sticky gunk, but once leavered off job takes about 30 mins.
  16. Heres my Scooby at Zen Performance being put through her paces, she spends quite a lot of time in the garage if its rainy or snowy.
  17. Had exactly same problem on my 1994 Scoob. Replaced coil pack and all better. Couldn't check codes on mine as changed to Apexi, yet to find anyway close to read the thing.
  18. I take mine to Brian Searle, in Godmanchester near Huntingdon. He has his own scooby and always gives it a pre mot check before. Excellent operation really knows his scoobies and since zen no longer does this type of stuff i take mine to him. 01480 - 434703 Unit 1 Clyde Yard PE29 2AT. Will also be considerably cheaper than main dealers.
  19. Can i just echo the above statements, excellent day, well organised. The organisers of these things never get enough credit.
  20. Just as well, it is £1.24 a litre locally, no wonder the scooby spends so much time in the garage.

  22. Now Zen have changed direction, i don't suppose if anybody knows if scoobyworld also does MOT's? Are they reasonable on price as well?
  23. Just thought, my scoob is a classic so not sure without looking if they will fit.
