Ovv
Well thats me currently without a scoob after nearly 3 months of trying to sell it, someone finally came for a look and snapped it up immediately. Wasn't that sad to see it go, my heart was never really into it even after chucking some money at it, I just couldn't find the love for it. So Im now on the hunt for another classic, originally fancied a Type R or P1 but also looking at 4 door saloons as well. If anyone knows of any nice examples going then let me know, as usual it needs to be a low mileage minter under 65k preferably. Does mean I might miss Alford though next weekend. Chris. colin_ross
Good luck indeed. JohnnyR6 really struggled to find a clean classic, 2 doors are nigh on impossible to source unless you're happy with tatty smokers or are willing to pay through the nose. Link to comment
subarucraig
Well done with the sale mate classics rule Link to comment
Ovv
cheers folks, I know its going to be more of an uphill struggle than last time to find a good one but fingers crossed something will fall into place. Three options at the moment: 1 - Project car, cheaper to start with but a bit of a money pit - not sure what yet but a special edition. 2 - Mint P1 - would make me happy straight out of the box 3 - Something in-between - nice RB5 on Pistonheads in North Scotland, but guy wants strong money for it, its almost Type R money. scooby222
knew you werent taking to the hawk so think you did the right thing before you sunk too much into it trying to make it behave like a classic (here speaks experience ) now go find a nice P1 and grin all day long! Link to comment
Ovv
knew you werent taking to the hawk so think you did the right thing before you sunk too much into it trying to make it behave like a classic (here speaks experience ) now go find a nice P1 and grin all day long! Yeah, I knew it wasn't to be with the Hawk, even after fitting the coilovers and alk I still found it a bit of a barge. Luckily I managed to recoup what I had sunk into it apart from the labour costs from RA, so I feel pretty pleased about that. I stopped modifying it at just the right point. Link to comment
Ovv
Project idea - scrapped, so on the cards so far we have: 1. P1 - waiting to hear back from current owner 2. v4 sti classic 3. JDM Blobeye ( yeah, I know its not a classic but its at the same sort of money as a P1) Link to comment
