scooby222 Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 well saturday finally saw the return of my deerly departed scoob - still a few wee bits to sort when subaru get their act together and the splitter arrives - and yes getting rid of the silver grater on the scoop is top of the list! but I didnt realise just how happy id be to have her back, paintwork is first class from the guys at RA and Im liking the carbon bonnet more than i thought i would
G.Mac Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Looking good Dave, agree with you on the mesh. I would say get it powdercoated black
mctwistuk Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Looks nice. What was it getting done while it was away?
davey l wrx Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Spray can from Halfrauds mate and match the mesh to the wheels..... it's what i did. I didn't look right without the mesh when i tried out today. Fortunately i'd already decided the mesh was getting sprayed so it went straight on. Didn't ralise how big the scoop was but i'm liking it
scooby222 Posted June 11, 2012 Author Posted June 11, 2012 the mesh will get sprayed anthracite but also got something else il be trying - the old scoop back on, reverse of your look Davey - scoops so big as its a blob eye sti one, for some reason they were bigger than bug or hawk as standard, just watch for bonnet lift with the bigger scoop, hence the aero catches going on mine It was getting the chunks of venison removed from what was left of the wing and bumper Chris, small altercation with a deer one night
g1983 Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Looking good Dave. The anthracite will make a difference. or black to match the top and lower grilles
davey l wrx Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 hmmm looks like i'll be buying some aero catches then!
subarucraig Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Looking good mate could do with some palm trees though mate
scooby222 Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 cheers Peter - il drop the venison into you next time funny you should mention palm trees.....
lewisscoob Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Good god, please don't do palm trees like we discussed at KH!
scooby222 Posted July 12, 2012 Author Posted July 12, 2012 cheers mate, will have some pics this weekend of it with the front splitter on and given a good wash hopefully!
kaylz_555 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Liking the bonnet more than I thought I would too!
