Clicking Noise When Braking

When I slow down and come to a halt there is a clicking/knock noise from the rear. It isn't the brake pads as I have replaced these and copper slipped them good. Only happens when you cone to a complete stop and the car settles back if that makes sense. Any ideas what it could be?

New struts were fitted when I bought the car a couple of months ago. Pads are defo seated properly.

this happened on a car i bought, it was the shims not fitted that caused it .

Rear pads

I had the same problem. Just one rear pad started to click, really annoying. What i did was to swap the pad over as just one seemed to have a little free play but nothing wrong with it. It did the trick until i replaced pads.

Pads are brand new but will try reseating when I get a chance. Noise was there with previous pads in also

One other thing. It maybe the springs holding the pads down. If they are not tight enough it could lead to pad movement at stopping. Worth a look.

Have you got braided hoses on .

Yeah front and back but did this before fitting them and changing the pads why?

My brakes make an odd noise when braking was told it's the braided hoses flexing when pressure put on the pedal .

I get a click from front pad but only when I reverse into space and apply brake !
