Typer666 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 more the merrier mate have a squint here and if youve any questions drop me a line cheers Dave Thanks - I'm talking this over with my missus/brother to see if they fancy the trip as it looks like good banter. When are you looking to get all confirmations of booking by? I'll know in the next few days - would be something to look forward to!
BalliSTIc Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Like my esteemed colleague from my rear said *lol* We'd already lost the front of the train by the time that was shot... thanks to some dame in a black Cat (here we go! *lol*)
scooby222 Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 to be honest im not too bothered up until a week or two before - and even then as long as you can get a room your welcome the banters always fun - having covered the same roads gives everyone something to chat about, usually close shaves or people getting lost
Midnight21 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Like my esteemed colleague from my rear said *lol* We'd already lost the front of the train by the time that was shot... thanks to some dame in a black Cat (here we go! *lol*) Drama Queen You caught up with the front of the train....easily (it wasn't that far in front) then you all derailed to the left but can't admit it
scooby222 Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 well actually the front of the train was parked up arranging photography before they caught up - in fact we made a tapestry of the view while we were waiting for them
lewisscoob Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 good man Lewis - really looking forward to seeing your new motor, even if it is from a distance in my rear view Confirmation from Mr F today, that'll be 389 horses disagreeing with you Dave
scooby222 Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 but will the extra 39 horses overcome the weight penalty your cars carrying? good figure though, bet its a bit nippy now
lewisscoob Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 How very dare you! Aye, it's a bit nippy now min, think I'm going to have to review my throttle application technique in anything other than dry conditions!
ciaranrb5 Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 lol good figures Lewis should be pretty similar between me and you now then. Well as long as you can drive that is. 3rd gear slides overtaking cars in the rain is the way ahead Dave your not exactly a slim jim yourself
BalliSTIc Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Dave your not exactly a slim jim yourself There ARE others... A stripped out interior only saves SO much weight y'know *chuckle*
ciaranrb5 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 There ARE others... A stripped out interior only saves SO much weight y'know *chuckle* Oy HG????? I would have to remove my whole interior to compensate for the Methanol in the boot
lewisscoob Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 lol good figures Lewis should be pretty similar between me and you now then. You sure about that Ciaran???
BalliSTIc Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I would have to remove my whole interior to compensate for the Methanol in the boot Yours or the car's? Taking dieting a tad far dontcha think? Right enough the pills aren't much cop...
ciaranrb5 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 You sure about that Ciaran??? What makes cars move Lewis??? Torque my 333 lb/ft trq V's your 290 lb/ft trq Even with your 20% error theory that makes the difference greater. Also sussed my problem we will see
lewisscoob Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Glad to hear you sussed it out, what was the problem? We will see indeed! looking forward to a good hoon around in the highlands!
scooby222 Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 the theme this year is not losing anyone en route for a change...... after last years dismal take up of the hawiian shirt theme i havent planned anything, but if anyone wants to suggest one.... also, not too late to sign up!!! still a few rooms left at the norseman and plenty in inverness

rallye6 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Are we having a "theme" this year? what about a pink bathrobe "theme" as per the gay boy mr mellon
lewisscoob Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Well it would appear I am now not going to make it. Although I have holidays for this weekend I am now going to be hauled away (kicking and screaming) to Angola the week before. Absolutely raging!
scooby222 Posted April 11, 2011 Author Posted April 11, 2011 gutted - but really if you were too scared to go up against all these lardy newages you just had to say....
scooby222 Posted April 11, 2011 Author Posted April 11, 2011 Ciaran, whats your record for managing to keep an impreza running? 3 weeks? Brian, thats a great idea - especially if we dont tell Tam, just imagine his face as we all get out wearing pink bathrobes
ciaranrb5 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Ciaran, whats your record for managing to keep an impreza running? 3 weeks? I have done 2k in the car and it's only the 4th time it has broken. Once the gearbox, once the fuel pump, the immobiliser and now the clutch release bearing I think it's time for a new daily hack and the Impreza can be for weekends
lewisscoob Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 all these lardy newages That's the way Dave, admitting you have a problem is the first step on the road to recovery!
BalliSTIc Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I have done 2k in the car and it's only the 4th time it has broken. Once the gearbox, once the fuel pump, the immobiliser and now the clutch release bearing "My AP racing clutch will be fine" he said... Anyone able to tow a trailer for when Ciaran carks it in Wick?
