neill54 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Just finished watching this new episode on discovery where they bought a silver bug eye wrx got it looking ok then put the worst set of decals on it Nasty Anyone else see it? Neil
jamesm Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Just finished watching it on +1. What were those stripes all about? Had to smile at the warped discs, fixed by bolting on a set of Brembos. If only it was that easy, my identical Bugeye kept warping a disc. Best part of a grand spent going to 3 different garages to finally find a damaged hub carrier was causing it. That aside, looked a tidy motor. Can't believe he thought he was going to get £6k for a 2001 Bugeye. £5.4k in the end was still pricey. Not sure how genuine the programme is though.
stum450n Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Just watched it. Dissapointing to be honest and those graphics, my god they were terrible!!! Do recognise the reg though, will have to do some digging...
rig-pig Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Mmmm yep decals were well bad, a bit on the expensive side with the sale

paul555sti Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 For those that never saw it at the time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KGY2hgZe70 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOKKRqxWH8c&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxZvCkDJi80&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z5u841ErCU&feature=related The stripes looked gash and he was robbed for those calipers!
Wee Jock Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Watched it on Discovery yesterday, shame about the stripes!
davey l wrx Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 I was planning on removing the rally graphics off mine and replacing them with 'cobra stripes' with their signatures on.... It seemed to up the value of the car more than any other mod. Having second thoughts now though!
ciaranrb5 Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Made the clutch change look easy and who mapped it??? Vipers stripes eeeeeeeeeemmmmmm NO
arch Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 If you have a ramp changing the clutch is a doddle getting the box back in on your back with the car on axle stands is a pain, notice they didnt show him fiddling with the clutch fork on refit . Bet the guy that bought the car went straight home and pulled the stripes off.
stum450n Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Made the clutch change look easy and who mapped it??? JGM if I remember correctly http://www.jollygreenmonster.com/
