Well heading up on Sunday for another try to get this 10 god loves a trier eh, my mate Matt heading up i'n his datsun GTR 35 and holds the fastest skyline time so will be a good show seeing us head to head the last time we had a blast I beat him, however he has done some tasty mods since then so think this will be close and at the end of the day it's fun and the banter is on the ball if comming up to watch weather dependent please come and say hi I don't bite unless you ask me time to unleash this high boost fastest time this year is 11.02 so ball hair away from the 10 and that was at 1.65 619/485

Now I will be running 1.95 641/600 so no excuses now and chat about this high boost lol if that fails need to use a bit of Nos to spool the turbo will try a few runs without.

Weather is not on our side at the moment forecast for Rain however Scottish weather may change

Who's heading up ??

I'm heading down on sunday with some mates from another car club, not taking the scoob as it needs tax and a service the following week so cant afford the extra cash as the moment.

If your doing passenger runs (providing you have a seat ofcourse) i would bloody love it!

See you on sunday.

Cheers for the advice, i'l have to go and introduce myself first though!

This is one of the last crail meets for the year isn't it? So I imagine it will be quite busy in the arvo but my mate is aiming to be there for 10. Gates will be open by then won't they?

The gate will be opened at 10 if weather is to wet I will not be going up thought I would let you know and just have a few sherbits watching the bears..fingers crossed it is fine.

Really want to crack this before next years so I can set a new goal..

Cool, we are aiming to be there at 10 anyway. Hopefully the weather stays fine and you can get some decent times down!

Are you coming up chris? Only scoob here is an rb320

Indeed slept i'n this morning and the wife was ment to take me through to get the car, so decided I would jump on the bike ohh it was a bit chilly still at 10:00 anyways got the car. And had a lovey drive up...

Once at Crail signed my self on and then met Jason W of the forum and what a nice chap indeed he offered me to offload jerry cans into his friend s car which I kindly did. Then after 20 mins chatting decided to take WL a run down the track. Dropped tyre pressures and was still on more half a tank. Took the car too the start and though I would do a mild launch just to get use to the car again, off I went squirming down the track finding it hard to get traction one the car dug i'n it was brill felt really good. And the DISASTER luck had rum our once again. Once over the line at the end started to break and felt a sponge yes pants went brown as the edge was getting closer lol hand brake deployed slowed me down the took it easy up to the pit and gently tapped the break and suddenly came to a stand still. Caliper had snapped at the bottom where the bolt was and decided do imbed i'n my wheel game over today.

Thanks to Jason and friend and everyone else that helped got the car pulled of the route back to the pit took the wheel off to check damage caliper fecked called recovery had back to garage boo hoo.

Again thanks Jason for staying with me untill recovery turned up good bloke.

So not too shabby for a first run I can see a 10 no problem now.

Reaction time-0.57

60 foot - 1.977

Terminal velocity - 137.6

Time of 11.014

Thats really not a good scenario Chris glad there wasnt any more damage what calipers are on the front?

Got compbrakes 6 pots possibility the bottom bolt has been working loose a bit of damage inside the wheel nothing major thank god ..What's the norm for securing the bolts ?? Was told bye another subaru mechanic that there should be a spring washer then a washer and he then locktites the bolts ..
