Mpg On A Classic

caus am not able to drive i got the girlfriend to drive the scooby an found that when driving like miss daisy she got 16mph and driving it like she stole it got 9.4 mpg which means i get a range of 85 mile when am hammering it is this normal or do i have a hole in the tank.

thats really really **** me arsing bout in the sti and and short journeys is still get 160-180 a tank

Sounds like you have a serious fuel dissapearing problem. My last UK car at the very worst would get 180-200 to a tank and, though I never managed 400 on a tank ive had over 200 to half a tank.

haven't actually figured out what i'm getting yet but it's definetly above that, probably about mid to high 20's being careful

I get around 180 to 200 in a half tank of V power, on a 98 UK turbo with a few mods and Simtek ECU

I did just under 90 miles from full to petrol light appearing on my old Hawkeye STi running 355/390... but that was on a Knockhill Track Day. Normal driving would yield about 170 from a tank, which is still absolutely sh!te IMO.

My current car will do 220-230 around the town and normal pottering around, it will do 200 absolutely minimum after using it for spirited driving and then on a run it will do about 300-320 without much hassle. I got over 350 miles after I picked it up and sat on the motorway on the way home at c80mph with a couple of 120+ blasts against an RS6.

Best I have had about 330 worst 68 from full to petrol light although that involved a track day

Sounds like your car is running pretty rich. I get nearly 300 pootling on motorways.

defo running rich, managed 387 miles before light coming on going to france

Ive managed 340 out of mine full to empty uk spec with full decat exhaust

normally get around 40-50 miles to a tenner day to day driving not sure what this works out at mpg wise

I get on average 190-220 a tank short drives and quick blasts, long journey I managed 300 ish, will see what I get when it gets remapped on wednesday
