I received a call from Cardata (cardata.co.uk) who want to sell my car for me. They charge £99 and list it for 28 days. They claim to sell 85% of cars within the first 7 days. Anyway, any one ever heard of them and are they any good?

Can't believe the question needs to be asked. These scammers should have been shut down a long time ago.

did you put no canvassers on the ad? if so, tell them where to go. Actually, tell them to advertise it and if you get a sale from them you'll give them the money. Nothing up front. You'll be surprised at how quickly they fail to put their money where their mouth is.

i had a company phone me up one when i was selling my gt4 and said they had a garanteed buyer who wanted to come and view the car a 5 the same day and wanted to charge me £35 for the privilage.

i said if the person has seen the ad they must have my number and the can call me theirself.they had no answer ecxept but its a garanteed sale (yea right)click

there was a thing on the t.v about these sort of companies a few months ago,

tell u they have a buyer or can get ure vehicle sold in a few weeks for 100 quid or more and they never get it sold,

its all a big con

theses compaines are being investigated by trading standards
