Ok Folks

Wee decision to make, the car 2005 STI ppp goes into Andy F on the 19th April for a remap, after hearing an hks dump valve i thought it sounded great, I know without a remap it causes the engine to run rich however with the remap it may compensate for this, the question is do I add it or forget it, the actual performance comes first.

Gut instinct is to just leave the standard one on but I really would appreciate everyones thoughts.

TBH i would ask Andy. He'll advise you on what he thinks will work best and he might recommend something else you can do if you let him know the spec of the car

Hi John ,i would think there would be no issues if you are getting re mapped .Mostly down to choice ,do you want the noise

Have been thinking about getting one myself ,just not sure.....

jesus not this question again lol i am getting one because i am a big wain & love the noise, if you change oil regular then it wont be a big problem so i am lead to believe

PSSSSHHHHT all the way for me, I have one fitted and love the noise! I don't think there is any noticable difference in performance though.

Have one on the R and great noise when on the back roads and circuit. From what I remember Bailey aren't rated also depends on how loud you want.

I'd say no to the dump valve and go for pops & bangs.

although I do like it when I hear it from other cars...

It does nothing for performance and the oem will be more than adequate fot the job.

I'd say send your money elsewhere but of course its your shout.

I prefer dumpless
