Joe G Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 May have to sell the spec c!! Just had a ****ty break up with the missus and either need to sell the car to buy her out the house or sell the house!! At the moment Id rather sell the house and keep the car but that might just not be an option!! What do i do?? It took me ages to find a nice clean example of a spec c that was standard and not abused and after owning it for 2 years now it been by far the best driver's car I've driven!! Lifes a bitch sometimes!! Joe
Phil MC Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Keep the spec-C and sell your ZX6ninja. They're 2-a-penny, but the spec-C isn't . Good time to be selling a bike as well, with spring being just round the corner. I'm in between bikes at the moment, and sure as hell get a severe case of motorcycle emptiness when the 1st few nice spring days arrive .
Joe G Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 Only problem is that id need more cash than i could get from selling the bike!
martin_allen Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Keep the bike and sleep in the car! Seriously, hope this works out for you dude. See it as an opportunity to sort out anything else that's been bugging you too and move on with things. 5t.

Cheers, Just gonna wait and see how things pan out and hope that it doesnt come to the stage where i need to sell the car. That would be the ultimate kick in the stones
sti pretender Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Car is minted Joe, hope you don't have to sell it. What do you love more the car or house?
Joe G Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 Car is minted Joe, hope you don't have to sell it. What do you love more the car or house? Car wins hands down but it would be easier to sell the car than the house
braveheart Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Sorry to hear the bad news, if needs must needs must you can always get another car failing that the other half will probs get half the car anyways, hope you come up with a solution mate and all the best deffo sell the bike give you more time to work a plan...
scooby222 Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 gutted for you mate and hope you manage to work something out,i imagine the cars one of the things keeping you sane right now!
Wee Jock Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Keep the car & keep the house! Get the house revalued and give yer missus half the value of the capital! Add that value back to your mortgage payment and you may not notice the difference over the years. Been there mate, know how hard it is, keep yer chin up. All the best & good luck Paul
superstar_tradesman Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Sell the house because you can sleep in your car but you can't drive your house.
frank c Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Keep the car and tell her to get on your/her bike On a serious note though, sorry to hear mate.. Hope it all works out for the best.
G.Mac Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 (edited) Sell the bike?, sell the bike?, a Kawk is for life not just for chrismas!!!!! Keep the car and the bike and sell the house (kids will be happy at your parents and possibly consider the other options ) Hope things dont go that far and things can be sorted out all the best for you and the wee one Graeme Edited March 18, 2010 by G.Mac
Phil MC Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Joe, what Wee Jock said makes absolute sense. There's always a sensible solution, you just need some clarity of thought right now. Good luck mate.
phil r Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 sorry to here that but you have to keep the spec and sell the bike
Joe G Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 Cheers for the comments guys, need to ponder on the situation for a good while before making any harsh decisions!! My mum always said to me "If you dont know what to do, dont do anything at all" . Think thats a pretty good saying in all honesty.
marko72 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 mums know best. I dont know you personally but as someone who lives nearby hope you get sorted.
4Hero Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Shoot the Mrs, get big cheque from life insurance (assuming she is insured), keep car, keep bike, keep house, sorted In the meantime, sorry to hear the bad news, hope all goes well for you, whatever you decide!
