Help!

Hi guys,

Need help if possible....Got a puncture in my work today at Bathgate just as i arrived!! on front passenger side, i think it can be repaired is approx 1 inch from tyre wall, tried AA they dont do punctures and call around couple places and cant get it done today...still calling round!!

can anyone recommend a tyre fitter or does anyone have a spare alloy i can borrow so i can take the tyre somewhere to be fixed??

i know its a long shot but i am struggling!! i am in my work until 8 tonight and dont want to have to leave my car at my work.

if anyone has any ideas please let me know!!!

i do but didnt think it would fit over the fromt calipers???

Leslie, you need to swap a rear to the front then use the space saver on the rear. Bat your eyelids and get someone to do it for you!!!

just tried h mobile tyres they wont come to bathgate for a puncture

i would really appreciate that pmac!! or even if someone is close with a decent jack so can swap front tyre for back and put spacesaver on!!

If its the standard sti calipers then it should fit, if not then put it on the back and the back alloy on the front, i know its a bit of messing about but surely better than leaving a scoob lying in a works car park

just take it easy with the power on the way home

yea baz workin on it but my issue now is worried about the jack being to weak for the car. need a trolley jack ideally.

weill be able to fit it myself!!

Ah ok, not very good mobile tyre fitter then - Pumpherston to Bathgate is hardly a long way!!

The guys across the road said if you were stuck to call as they are too busy now but may be able to do something later. I'll keep an eye on my PMs, if you need them gimme a shout.

got the AA coming out to swap tyres and put space saver on back

never thought o that, Doh!! that must be the blonde coming out in me haha

so hopefully can go it repaired at lunch....

space saver doesnt fit on back!!!

and aa seems to think need a new tyre!! so back to square 1!!!

Hopefully you get it sorted Lesley just looked at this was in Bathgate today aswell, however was on my Bike can do the change of the wheel if all falls through hope you get it sorted..there is tyre place at the top of the hill on bathgate Swift i think should do it..

Leslie What age is your car if its under 3 years you still have Subaru Assist the number is 0800 777 167 they would collect the car and take it to be repaired. They also can give loan cars on request. Good luck

Can a colleague at work not help you remove the wheel, rest the hub on a few bricks, then take the offending item to the tyre repair place up the road for a "Swift" repair before refitting?

This would be my last resort, but still a possible solution nonetheless .

wish i could but dont have bricks lying around and the jack i got in the car looks very weak.

think can get a tyre but its miles away from my work oh my god the stress!! lol

Fair Deal tyres is in Bathgate - try them too - they may come out as you are not far away

The original jack in the car will be sufficient to remove the wheel and hold the car up temporaraily if you can get a work colleauge to take the burst tyre to be repaired.

Whats the point in the spare wheel if dont fit

You'd be aswell throwing the spare away and saving on weight

I had a screw in the sholder of my tyre last year and it was fixable just more expensive than a normal puncture repair but it was worth it as it was a practicaly new one

Hope you get something sorted

Does that mean if you get a problem with the tyre .The space saver that comes in the Sti will not fit over the standard brembo caliper ????
