Possibly retrofit. It's not that difficult to get the prodrive parts, ECU, Backbox, CAT delete etc. I'd LOVE an older standard car to start all over again with.

I'd be looking at £1100 tops paying for it Jon.

Going by you and your subaru impreza book by Chris Rees ppp from 1996 to 1998 238bhp at 5600rpm 240lbt at 2400rpm .There is no mention of ppp before this date i mention above

thinking that'll be my limit on it... good thing is its totally standard... crying out for some mods... good base to start on :P

It looks a good deal but i would still try and kock him down a bit. I think the power is about 208 bhp but could be wrong

Maybe you'd be better trying to bargain with him as doing the above suggestion may end in a small stretch at her majesty's pleasure :P

Nope, you could get the Prodrive kit on older cars. It took me a little while to track down a web site with the details on early cars, would probably have been quicker going upstairs and digging through my old copies of Performance Car, but more difficult to link to so here you go:

Well i wouldn't buy one with that many miles on it unless i had information showing me that it had been re-built!! each to there own though...fire on :lol: lol

mine was rebuilt at 110,000 using sti parts so all is well :lol:
