Van Diesel Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 Huge thanks to Rach, Nige and Paul for a well organised event. Friendly group too!
little vodka goblin Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 (edited) Guys, It was an absolute pleasure, I want to say a big thank you all for turning up and making it such a fantastic day, it was the first time I'd organised something along these lines and at the risk of sounding like I'm bigging myself up I was REALLY pleased with how the day turned out. Even BIGGER thanks of course goes to Paul and Andy - without these guys we wouldn't have had a rolling road day oh and of course Nige (woodcote) for being my chief record keeper for the day, putting up with my stresses while I've been organising the day and for generally just being him! Cheers, Rach Edited March 21, 2010 by little green goblin

Cheers, Rach Rach, you and Nige did a FANTASTIC job of organising the troops and keeping score, it made our life so much easier to have cars ready, you also made an awesome 'builders brew' I'm still pleased that a classic wagon pulled a good score out of the bag gotta love them GC Wags !

HairyDJ Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Looks like you did a cracking job Rach - make this your last and you'll have a fantastic 100% reputation Shame we couldn't join you - I'd have loved to have seen that monster wagon, can't match "Bill" to a forum name - whose was it? Even better to see that AndyT is still alive and well (and grafting!)

Yeah still alive, just been very busy and the Northants scene has gone a bit dry over the last couple of years. Yesterday was a reminder of what a good bunch of people the scooby owners are.
DaOne Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 thw wagon was i good customer/friend of pauls from what i can remember it was a forged 2.5 with a s206 turbo + supporting mods etc
Zen_Performance Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Many thanks to those who attended on sunday, I was especially (and pleasantly) surprised by the shear number of those that came all the way just to spectate, let alone run their cars on the rollers. It was without doubt the best organised RR day I've ever witnessed, thanks wholey to Nigel and Rachel who did lots of background work for all this, including all the lists, the ticket system and really just left me and Andy to get on with the business of running the cars. We will be endeavouring to improve our RR facilities from a noise and fumes perspective, so I hope to be running more RR days for a variety of clubs and themes (in 2008 we did a 2.5 day for instance), but it will certainly be run the same way as it was on Sunday! Big thanks to Andy T for being my dyno bitch for the day. And a final mention for Bill that shocked everyone I think with such a stealth looking car! Cheers Paul
