Big 'D' Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Very impressive If it had been tarmac and not snow he was towing on I think he would need a tow home too though Great find Cheers Iain

This is an oldie, AFAIK Andy.F was in the passenger seat of the tow vehicle if you watch the driver he keeps it on full lock and dosent even seem to try to straighten up the wheel once hes round the corner?

RA Dunk Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 lol, dunk you beat me to it yup! Dont know why the guy held it fully locked once he was round the corner though
thefastone Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 its not that he never tried to straighten up, but that the keys were clearly not in the ignition... that was the steering lock...
RA Dunk Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 its not that he never tried to straighten up, It dosent look like he even tried to straighten up to me, remember he has just been towed for XX ammount of miles without issue
mic Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 If that was Andy Forrest in the passenger seat then he has really lost a lot of hair since!!

Spaceman Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 it was the steering lock that came on thats was the first corner sharp enough to engage it Mr F was over mapping for some inter island race series.

The whole incident was caused by the steering lock coming on because the keys were not in the ignition. It was on St Lucia. Nae Danger that Impreza was pulling that artic in the snow though, get a grip !!!! Edited December 20, 2009 by John Stevenson
RA Dunk Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Nae Danger that Impreza was pulling that artic in the snow though, get a grip !!!! Was it an illusion then

scouk Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Nae Danger that Impreza was pulling that artic in the snow though, get a grip !!!! LOL! Not the full weight, but maybe it just gave it that bit more pulling power to get up the slight incline.. The truck was running but probably lacking that little xtra to get up the hill.
