Thanks to Duncan & staff at Hypertech for doing a top job. :D

Also thanks to Bobby C for his hospitality & for the use of your big sissors to cut my flaps & save them trailing on the ground all the way home.

That is exceptionally tidy sir !!

Love the pics and clean looks. Real nice pieces of kit those coilovers !

Presumably on the back road from Newton to Girvan you'll wind em' up a bit ?!

They'll be perfect for the sweeping roads that take you up to the A74 however ( cant remember the name of that fine road )

Cheers

Looking good.

What settings are you on? Had mine fitted a week ago. Running 16/14 at the moment.

Bobby suggested the scissors to me for my mudflaps but hate to think what a mess I'd make!!!

They'll be getting raised soon. Gets a bit annoying hearing them scrape all the time!!!

Ive got them set at 10/10 the now as the roads round my way are shocking.

Hi Richie, Wulsey,

I tried 16/14 on a drive into Edinburgh yesterday and my teeth were rattling! It doesn't crash over the bumps like the standard STI suspension but still very firm. Was previously running 12/10 and that was very nice! Have now set for 14/12.......

I'm interested to know what alignment setup you achieved? I had a Whiteline ALK fitted at the same time and managed to achieve 1.2deg camber & 4deg caster on the front and 1.1deg camber on the back (with camber bolts).

Cheers, Mark

I got the fast road geo settings done with 1.01deg camber & 4.24deg caster on the front & 1.3deg camber on the rear(with adj pillow mounts.)

Your new suspension setup sounds fabbo, Barry ;)

Tell me - how did you decide on what would be the best ride height?

I think that was just the way they came out of the box, which looks good, but im going to lift them up about 20mm at the weekend as the roads round here are s**** to say the least & im no wanting to loose my front splitter. :)

That's the beauty of the BCs, isn't it - that you can adjust ride height without affecting geometry or ride quality.

After my warranty's gubbed, and when the Subaru shocks start to knock again (as they inevitably will), I plan to go the BC route too.

Not sure I agree that point.....

Surely if you wind the hub up or down on the strut the geometry of the control arms is going to change? As a minimum I'd expect that to effect toe in / out.

The BC instructions also say that when adjusting ride height you need to loosen the two bolts which attach the strut to the hub, that will certainly effect camber!

I'm not an expert........

I think you are right. Adjsuting the ride-height will require the geometry to be readjusted to suit.
