col666
I have the Lowepro 300 and 200 Slingshots, both excellent. Link to comment
jcscoob
Yup Lowepro all the way Link to comment
st3ph3n
Have one of the more traditional Lowepro backpacks and can't fault it. Especially as it was included in the cost of a magazine subscription. Also got one of their small shoulder bags and it's good too. Quality is excellent. Link to comment
4Hero
Yup, Lowepro all the way! Got these, click on each photo to visit flickr, it explains more about what the bags hold: Lowepro Vertex 200 AW: it's bloody huge Lowepro Mini Trekker AW: great for day to day use Crumpler Bunny Man: Useful for the camera body and a few small lenses. corsa
Pop into Jessops and take your gear with you, they are more than happy to let you try it out and ensure all your gear fits nicely. I got my Lowepro for around £70.00. Davie Link to comment

scooby222
ive a kata dr467 rucksack stylee and i love it,lots of nice little attention to detail got it for 60 quid from aspens of hereford on ebay complete with a free manfrotto monopod, which was nice Edited November 3, 2009 by scooby222 Link to comment
paulcoleman
I've got the Lowepro Mini Trekker AW too, and I love it. I swear by Lowepro gear for build quality and useability. My recommendation, any Lowepro back that will hold all your gear will be spot on, what design and shape etc is personal preference. The Mini Trekker is not as convenient as the over the shoulder slingshot style, but I personally went for comfort when trekking with lots of gear all day. Think I paid £80 delivered for my Trekker. ~ ~ Cal ~~
ideally i would want one that is robust enough to go mountain biking with so this could also be a winner too ? http://www.shuttertalk.com/articles/katar102 Link to comment
col666
Then they close down because no one is buying from them, where do you go then? Ebay! if its just a bag I'll get a 2nd hand one saving a few quid. Actually bought my D300 body from Jessops for peace of mind if it broke! They have got their act together recently with their pricing but things like memory cards are still stupidly overpriced. Link to comment
st3ph3n
You have to ask - is 20-30 minutes of a Sales person's time to help you decide on the bag for you and test your gear fits worth an extra few quid? I think it probably is actually. That said - hopefully getting a Crumpler Daily for christmas. It's an old model so going cheap on the ebay. Well as cheap as a Crumpler can get that is. thefastone
I'm neither here nor there about Jessops, they can be handy, and I have bought from them when I want something now... but they are over priced for mostly everything... I think that you just have to pay the premium if you want something in your hand now... Anyways, back on the topic, I use the Fastpack 250, which is like the slingshots in that its side opening to get quick access to your camera, but its bigger and more like a conventional rucksack. bottom half camera gear, top half for whatever else you need, lunch, jumper, odds and sods... Plus it has a pouch for your laptop (15.4')... Its the second time I bought it, (after the theft) and I think that I got it this time for about £50 on Amazon... (Although I'm sure that Jessops will sell you one for £70...) I've just checked Jessops, and they are selling the black ones for £49... here: http://www.jessops.com/online.store/catego...74817/Show.html but if you want one with a bit of colour then you can get them on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss?url=se...amp;x=0&y=0 and if you want to see one geared up, then you are more than welcome to see my one when I get home... (possibly next week...) Edited November 5, 2009 by thefastone Link to comment

No wasnt the one you mentioned. It was easy_leno_trading. Had a check and isnt selling anything at the moment. One of the better experiences on ebay, havnt had any real bad ones mind you, but was pleased to get something from china ( in case of a fake rip off, which it isnt as a work colleague borrowed it for a few days to try it out and he knows his stuff. He bought a 300 in the end ) and have it arrive that quick, well packaged and great price. Hope you find something Cheers. Edited November 14, 2009 by marko72 Link to comment
