dipsy Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 That newage Jdm intercooler is giving you all that power
Smiler AS Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 Quality figures min, I bet that was a fun drive back up to Elgin Yep sure was, at one point I was having "fun" in 4th, decided to calm down and up into 5th, I was in 5th all the time!!! Andy F gave me a controller to drop off at AWD for you, assumed Andy from AWD called you?
bobbyc Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Excellent results almost identical to the GB, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, I've used the GB all week to work for a change & still can't resist going for a blast and having a wee

Think I would have made slightly bigger figures if I had got it mapped on Optimax but played it safe with 97RON.
addison Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 WRX or STi TMIC shouldn't make any difference.I had a customers car mapped by Andy Forrest last Wednesday with a similar spec to what your doing. 2006 2.5 WRX with STi intercooler, VF34, decat, etc. Andy took it to 1.4 bar; 350bhp and 378 lb ft. Pulls like a train from just under 3000 RPM Thats a bit low on lb ft should be 400 plus
Smiler AS Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 (edited) Thats a bit low on lb ft should be 400 plus Curious, what makes you say that, did you get over 400? Thats a "good un" youve got there then! 3 2.5 wrx's ranging from; 378lbs/ft (decat, not sure which RON, 1.4bar) 384lbs/ft (sportcat, 97RON, 1.5 bar) 389lbs/ft (sportcat, 99RON, not sure what bar? Bobby C?) seems pretty consistent. Edited September 10, 2009 by Smiler AS
iain01 Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 (edited) My GB270 made 345bhp/380lbft, decat, 1.35 bar, on vpower. Nice figures you made on 97ron Edited September 10, 2009 by iain01

Andy F gave me a controller to drop off at AWD for you, assumed Andy from AWD called you? No but I got an e-mail from Andy F. I'll give AWD a call tomorrow. Scoob is currently my good running car as the beemer failed MOT today on near side rear brake for handbrake, bugger lol (should get sorted tomorrow though) Thanks for dropping the controller off at AWD for me

Richie Cross Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Yep, love it, and very little turbo lag too with the 2.5, would say the VF34 spools up every so slightly later than the TD04 and when it does, by heck! Yep, got a VF34 myself....but just on the 2L. Great kick!! Did you get the interchangeable low/high boost via the rear demister??
Smiler AS Posted September 11, 2009 Author Posted September 11, 2009 Did you get the interchangeable low/high boost via the rear demister?? Afraid not, cant get the switchable boost on the hawkeyes yet. Such is life that il just have to make to with full boost all the time!
