cal_type r Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Just bought a new set online guys and the advert says : please gap to 0.8mm: What does that mean? Cheers
scoobysailor Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 (edited) Its the spark gap (at the end of the plug that goes into the cylinder - the gap between the pin in the middle and the curved piece of metal that sits over it (in laymans terms!!)). You'll need a wee set of feeler gauges to set the gap..... Edited June 10, 2009 by scoobysailor
colin_ross Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 As above but think the gap for subarus should be 0.7mm from memory.
cal_type r Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Got these from scooby parts and it says in the advert please gap to 0.8mm. Gona get it done tomoz at garage.
WUZ Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Go for 0.7mm gap otherwise high boost (1.45 Bar or more) could blow out the spark due to the gap being too high.
