Gauges

Right, car is back on Island Sunday night now barring something phenominal happening (William Hill have it odds on favourite) LOL.

It needs to go in the bodyshop to have some work done on it to repair the dents and scratches, and to touch up a few bits here and there. After that I am going to need some help in fitting my gauges. Electrical oil temp/pressure and mechanical boost.

Any takers for assistance and any ideas how long it will take? Oh and I also need to change the shocks all round too but I may just do that one Afternoon face-icon-small-happy.gif

cool, any other tips?

I was thinking of asking that bloke erm whats his name? He lives in Patrick?

Defi Dave LOL face-icon-small-wink.gif I know he knows how to tweak stuff PMSL

No probs Nick did the lot meself, so know all mounting points.

Boost is easy, Oil Temp is hard one have to have adapter to put in block above No.3 cylinder.

Oil Pressure not to bad. But this will depend on what type of sensors your guages have.

Defi sensors are fairly compact.

And major need for this job is PTFE tap, which I have.face-icon-small-smile.gif

But not back on island till 22nd dude. Just give us a shout when and i'll help.

<< Plug behind the alternator is a bit of a bitch to get to as you have to take the alternator out to get to it face-icon-small-smile.gif >>

Did'nt with mine, he he.

Forgot to say to do proper job your talking 3-4 hours.

Cos you dont want to rush the job when your taking blanking plugs out of the block wall.face-icon-small-shocked.gif

Thanks Paul. Appreciated.

Been long enough now so I am chomping on the bit so to speak. Just need to learn to keep my foot off the heavy pedal so next time it wont be so much of an expensive lesson for me!

Shame I wont be passing by your way on Sunday (I may do though as I can get lost quite easily when you have more than 1 lane!). Need to remember North is up and South is down LOL. face-icon-small-wink.gif

It was easier to take the alternator off on mine!

But yeah 3-4 hours really for the Defis. Mine came with the plugs to screw directly in so while the heads were off it was quick and easy face-icon-small-smile.gif

South Coast service the car for me. Didn't think they liked fitting gauges etc. I also have a Blitz turbo timer to installer. How easy is it to connect it to the ignition?? Don't want to be paying through the roof prices.............
