This is getting silly! Surely someone will see a series mcrae around! Hope you get it back safe and soon mate!

P.s. Anyone fancy organising a group buy on decent clifford systems with blackjax?

Won't matter will it? Stolen with the key so BlackJax (at least the one i had) won't work. It was only if you got out and then drove off. The car would stall after about 200 yard. The idea being if you get jacked you get out, they drive far enough away to be safe but not too far as the car has stopped on them...

Far too many of these though. Boy on Scoobynet had them round twice in two weeks although they've failed to take the car so far.

Hope you get this back ok. I doubt it but i hope you do.

I'll have to check but I think the ones my bruv has had fitted he could set it to force you to type the code every time you set-off.. The alarm has a silly amount of options IIRC.. Inconvenient for hte owner as you have to type in teh code everytiem you drive off /open a door.. But it is secure..

The one i had years ago was as above, needed the code everytime you got in the car. Ended up as a total pain in the ass and i had it deactivated.

Edit to add, gutted to hear about your car and i hope you get it back quickly and the tea leafs die a slow and painfull death.

My alarm on my Hawkeye has that. You can set it so that once the car is locked, you have to unlock it manually with the key (setting the alarm off) and then quickly type your pin code in and then start the car - basically meaning that the scum couldn't get away with your car even if they get the keys. It's also easy to enable/disable so no hassle really. :)

Yep same option is available on the standard bugeye alarm (and proabably others).. Not convenient for every day use as it means setting off the alarm every time.. But if the car is left alone for any length of time, that feature woudl be used.. Full Lockdown by disabling the keyfobs.. If anyone want's to know the option on teh std alarm lemme know. I've got a manual for them all somewhere...

The blackjax system let you get in as normal and drive off.. But if you dont type int eh pin code in a cartain time the car shuts down and sounds the alarm.. IDea is that if you are carjacked you hadn over the keys and get yourself to s asafe place to call the police.. System is automatically activated when a door is opened. SO jacker gets in drives off.. 2 miles down teh road the car shuts down for no apparent reason.. There's no warning inside the car that a system like that is active!! It's one of the best systems I've heard of..

BTW - The RB320's have a fancy alarm system with rediculous features... GPS trackign and car stats sent to your mobile! WTF!

. o O (Dear god! my typing is getting worse!)

Was sitting outside the bank in the RB320 the other day waiting for the wife, she comes out and **** knows what i did but the alarm goes mental. Got the alarm to shut the **** up (little kids pointing and laughing their wee a***s off by this time :) ), starts up the car and off we go. 2 minutes later I get texted to my mobile, car reg number, GPS Co ordinates and the time the alarm was activated. 30 seconds later i get the car reg again, the postcode and exact adress where the alarm went off.......neat or what?

I can send a message and it will tell me exactly where the car is, what the temperature is and the battery voltage. Can also be set to send a text when it goes over a certain speed - i remind the garage of this when i put it in for a service!! :D

Bad Script mate, hope you get the motor back safe and sound! its a pretty well known model, I'd like to think that you have more chance than many for getting it returned to you... I do think that its odd though, that the keys were on the driveway...?

I bet theres a lot of people that wish they had that kind of facility considering how much some garages are inclined to take the mic... Personally I wouldn't tell them... let them dig their own grave... I'd happily bury them!

Police reckon that they grab every key they can find in the house , go outside, find the one they want and drop the rest. Being left outside for anytime esp if raining which it was destroys forensic evidence. Funny there was brand new Saab courtesy car on the driveway that they had the keys for but didn't touch

New Clifford G5

Even if the scroats break in/carjack and get the keys.

Mobile phone out, text the car, cars fuel pump switches off and car sends text back telling you where it is

Works on GSM Network and GPS

I now sleep soundly in West Beirut
