Stolen Silver Wrx - N898 Als - Scottish Borders

Recommended Posts

I've had a silver WRX stolen from my premises in Cardrona, just outside Peebles in the Scottish Borders. The car was completely standard, even down to the original wheels and exhaust, and had the registration number N898 ALS.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Brian

Dont give up phoning! I had my Landrover Freelander stolen a few years back and after a month the police phoned me to say it was parked over someone's driveway and if i didnt move it they would have it lifted!! So they don't always keep us in touch :icon_salut: This is getting scary with the reports of stolen scoobies ;) Lets hope they turn up safe and sound

Thanks everyone. Not sure how much use the car will be to me if it turns up, as I imagine it'll be in a state and will undoubtedly have had the a*** kicked out of it, but fingers crossed something turns up.

Makes me so angry that I put so much work into preparing the car, for someone to come along and think it's ok to take it for free. Calmed down about it now, but still very disappointed.

I may be wrong but I think they wait about 10 weeks before paying out incase it turns up somewhere.

Any News Brian, thought I would give this a bump to the top too in case she is still missing so people can keep an eye out for her.

Cheers

Thanks John,

still missing unfortunately - although the car was spotted in a nearby forest on the night it was taken. I imagine it will be out of the area by now, but it's alway worth keeping an eye out just in case.

Cheers,

Brian.

Sorry to hear that Brian cannot believe the cheek of these people who think they have the right to stral cars.

Will keep my eyes and ears open

If it makes you feel any better (which i doubt....) you may be re-assured to know the car still gets circulated across the force area on all Police channels at least twice a day. Howver, at the moment, there are 6 outstanding stolen imprezas that i know of, in and around the Edinburgh area, all between N and P plates.

Fingers crossed it turns up.

Its getting worrying all these scoobs going awol.Gutted for you guys who have lost one. With regards to the gb270 , how can they steal a car of that age with the immobiliser and coded key, i'm just curious as i honestly thought my MY 04 would be reasonably safe from the threat of being stolen , but obviously not. :rotfl:

As its an import i doubt it has an immobilizer. But even if it does there real easy to re-code another fob. then either rattle the ignition or hot wire it.

But i personaly think they would have put it on a lorry or dolly.
