thewelsho Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Some nice student decided to add some new scrapes and dents to my car today. I suppose the good news is that I got a hold of her and she is going to payup. So, any suggestions for a repair place Glasgow or Paisley. Its a non-insurace job though. First pic is superficial scrapes to the bumper and the second one has a dent on the wheel arch. Cheers! And
cullenmin Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Ouch, at least you got the female that did it, unlike most stories of car park dents we hear about. Hope you get it sorted up soon mate with no hassle
ANDYJDMSTI Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 did you have to go find her or did she volutarily come to you ? some people are just dumba***s when it comes to driving!!
Guest CRAIG D Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 NASTY As Cullenmin said at least you got the Female that did it which is half the battle. Am sure it will be perfect when its back.
RA Dunk Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 daft bint! at least its not too bad and its not comming from your pocket!
martin_allen Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Well done getting them! Bad news like. I'd be tempted to callt he cops anyway just to show you are serious. They'll make sure the detials given were the right ones.... 5t.
thewelsho Posted January 28, 2009 Author Posted January 28, 2009 did you have to go find her or did she volutarily come to you ?some people are just dumba***s when it comes to driving!! I stuck a note on her windscreen and got a hold of the carpark attendant who waited around til she came out and informed her that she hit the car. Her car was still there AFTER she hit it, suggesting that she didn't even know! Also have video footage of her parking next to me and later checking the damage. So its just getting quotes noo - huuumph. At least she's paying though.

Guest CRAIG D Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 (edited) Jeez! How come? and much was that? Quote me if am wrong but i think it has to do with the colour match. By just spraying the door and arch 9/10 it never matches so only way to really get a un-noticeable paint job is by spraying 1 side of the car. I could be wrong tho Edited January 28, 2009 by CRAIG D
mystery machine Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Sorry to hear about the bother, Welsho. But you're lucky she's agreed to pay up. I've had four non-fault claims in less than six years and only one of them was decent enough to own up. But then maybe I shouldn't have assaulted the other three? Kidding

**amanda** Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 shocking thats why i hate car parks an old lady that lives across the road did the same to the front end of my old car last year an i had to get the full bumper and the full side sprayed (she payed to have it fixed) it cost £400 and the car was in the garage for 3 days i had some stickers on the side that also had to be removed and replaced. also when my car was keyed at xmas the whole side had to be sprayed to blend the paint that cost £500 again the car was in for 3 days. both times i used John Mcghee > Vehicle Bodywork And Body Repair in Greenock 01475 791579 - 10 Ardgowan Street, Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire, PA14 might be a bit far away for you but they did a top job both times an i would use them again. amanda
RA Dunk Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Jeez! How come? and much was that? it was to match the paint to the side of the car i didnt mention it because i forgot but i had a dent in my front wing as well which needed repaired and sprayed, so it was front and back wings which needed attention
