Mud flaps what a shockorooni £200.00 for black prodrive and £100.00 for after market for what 4 bits of plastic is this normal?????? Probably rip them off any way reversing lol Any one got any ideas on other places or prices????
oobster Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Haven't used them myself but I see this mob getting mentioned quite a lot on here & SNet. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Performance-Creations
ali37 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Have got these fitted - easy to fit and good quality. Scoobyworld Mudflaps Ali.
RA Dunk Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 whats the fascination with subarus and mud flaps anyway? personally i think they look bloody horrible and unless you live in the sticks pretty much pointless, all IMO of course
bobbyc Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Hi Shelly Oobsters link in the last post is quite popular, main dealers are a rip off www.scottlowe.co.uk is another link not the cheapest but goot quality & easy to fit be careful of some of the cheaper ones as they can be crap & wont last.

Aye, Scott Lowe flaps are good - about £158 I think though for a full set. I had a set on my old scoob and after 3 years they were like brand-new (you could use a brillo pad to get the muck off them without damaging the rubber/plastic/pvc or whatever they were made from).

Come on now Bobby!!! I cant believe that comment, thats why the guy you use is running an 08 sti I think £100 for four kaylan mudflaps with the correct fixing kit in stainless is a very decent non rip off price, and Scott Lowe are dearer than us rip off dealers Gav

colzo Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 whats the fascination with subarus and mud flaps anyway? personally i think they look bloody horrible and unless you live in the sticks pretty much pointless, all IMO of course Dunc, I've had 2 Imprezas without and 2 with flaps and they definitely do make a difference. As for dealer prices, I have the Prodrive flaps fitted to my STI as I don't see the point of haggling over a few quid when you've spent thousands on your pride and joy. Also some of the 'cheaper' ones I've saw look awful.
jamesm Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 The mudflaps on mine are a necessity in my opinion. Both sides of the car get absolutely battered with stones without them. I have a set of the Scoobyworld flaps. Perfect fit and had them on for 2 years now and with a good clean still come up brand new. They were about £60 from memory.
colzo Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Any one got any ideas on other places or prices???? Worth noting Shelly if you are planning on modding it could be worth while becoming a fully paid up member as you will get a 10% discount from Grieves and most other dealers and Subaru specialists.

Shelly I had Scott Lowe flaps on my last scooby and have Scoobyword one on my present car. In my opinion the Scott lowe ones were far better - a wee bit more expensive but the flaps and fitting kit were far better quality.......
