james666 Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 personaly mate i would not go near them!!!!!!! way over priced on their cars and last time i went out for test drive in one of their scoobs guy didnt even let it heat up properly before taking it down the road and giving it a kicking!!!!!!!!!
scoobzie Posted January 4, 2009 Author Posted January 4, 2009 thanks for the quick reply m8 will let him no
Joe G Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Heard a few bad stories about 1st choice tbh. My mate bought an evo from them and had nothing but problems with it. Personally wouldn't buy from them. Id get a mechanic or someone with a good bit of mechanical knowledge to go have a look at the car with your mate.
billyboystoys Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 very high miles you will get better for that money times are hard keep lookin mate. billy
paul555sti Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Here is a much better example. http://bbs.scoobynet.com/private-sale-gene...pec-c-sale.html

dipsy Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Don't like the look of that Jdm STI .Does not say if its been remaped i am saying this because of induction kit
Wagon_Mark Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Tbh wouldnt go near first choice. Majority opf the cars are dogs imho.
mick67 Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 (edited) Never go to 1st choice mate. a pretty bird told me they clock those imports. Edited January 4, 2009 by mick67
Rednosespeccltd Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 there is a few things that stand out there: 1. Why is it still reading KM's??? 2. Obvious modded but no mention in ad 3. All sorts of electrical gismos on dash, would be asking q's about them 4. Induction kit fitted, has it been remapped for UK fuel?? 5. is it SVA'd and delimmited?? 6. Check the service history Price is far to high IMO and high miles (although it does say Km) tell your mate to keep looking as there is plenty out there. Why not put up here what he is looking for and people will gladly help. Best of luck. Mac Mac
burgy_51_ Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I know that garage with experience!!! 2 cars from there 2 F$$$ups , 1st was an astra gsi it had a fault nobody could fix not unless the full car got rewired it was costing a fortune, 2nd was a calibra DTM every time u took ure foot off the acc pedel the car would stall!!! The best of all was my brother's pal bought a 52 plate bugeye last year ,£12000 after a month he notice the struts were nackered all 4 , took it back and they said that the 30 day warenty was up and it was not there problem, it cost him well over a grand to get it fixed, then he found out the brakes were fked as well pads and disks that was more money , he would have been cheaper buying a Bentley. Advice !!!!DONT TOUCH IT!!!!
nkwrx Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 That mob make Arthur Daly look like a good option mate......stay well clear!!!
wulsey Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Very dodgy garage this! Ive also seen some cars advertised on their websites aswell as the 1st Choice website at the same time!!! If it were me id stay well clear!!!
StewartyBoy Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Ive testdriven 2 cars at 1st choice. After getting a check back on the 1st (which was an M3) came back as STOLEN, 2nd car I testdrive was a P1 Impreza that clicked really loudly as I drove it, guy said it was tappets!? More like it was the a*** end giving up!! A friend traded in a 206 GTi Gran Tourismo, they gave him 1800 for it. Weekend after it was in the papaer for 7k!!!! WTF!? STAY AWAY FROM 1ST CHOICE MOTORS, COMPLETE RIPOFF MERCHANTS!!
