lv-426 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Folks, Given the weather at the moment, I'm feeling kinda lazy, so can anyone recommend a reasonable hand car wash place, either for self use or with a selection of bods with sponges Work in Edinburgh & live in West Lothian, if that helps narrow the search
pmacFTO Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 (edited) I always use the place in Bathgate which does a full foam and then hoses it off - never had any problems in the 4-5 years I have been going - either with the FTO or the Scooby. Sponges scratch paintwork! They also have a branch in Edinburgh near the big Asda on the A70 - the road that goes to Juniper Green/Currie etc Edited November 19, 2008 by pmacFTO

P.S Do they still make sponges for washing cars? Iain
pmacFTO Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I use it occasionally to get the heavy crap off then go home and go back over it all with the 2 bucket method and do wheels, arches etc

Ouch! lolI always think the microfibre mitts work really well, This is sort of in relation to this thread, We were using that putty clay stuff at Knockhill to take a few pre-owned marks off the car and it worked a trick - is that the Meguiers kit? Seen it the other day for about £25, just want to "be sure to be sure!" Kaylz And yes I know it's 5.30am before you say it!
