Sti 330's Exhaust Note

Hi,

Does anyone in the club have one of these and if so can you post up a sound clip of the exhaust? I am thinking about getting my 08 hatch ppp'd but since the run in with the cops about my so called 'loud' exhaust I want to hear this first before making my decision.

who cares what the cops say if a cop told you to jump of a bridge would you do that the ppp is road legal i read this on a post before prodrive had actually taken a car from someone who ha been pulled and it was road legal they swear bye it so go and get it done

Yeah....I remember something about the fact that the PPP stuff is kind of standard from the manufacturer....so it's legal.

I had the H&S back boxes and center pipe on my 08 STI and that was deemed too loud by the powers that be so I had to remove it and go back to the origional system I was just wondering what the PPP exhausts sounded like.

Nope I had just driven into my parents drive way when a WPC appeared from nowhere and said my exhaust was too loud, I had been trundling along the road as there are huge speed bumps on it and did not want to wreck my front splitter. When I asked how they could tell that from having no testing equipement I was told I had two choices I could accept the 'producer' or be charged for it.

Clearly they wouldnt have a leg to stand on in court,if they havn't measured decibels and taken into account the time of day,the car still has the cats on so is still DOT roadside compliant,i would very much doubt if they could make this stick.

The H&S exhaust isn't that loud,wouldn't think that it is much louder than the 330s in fairness.
