Brakes Help

Recommended Posts

Changed the rear discs and pads on the Type R, and changed the piston seals.

Been trying to bleed the brakes with little success.

I have put 2 litres through the system now and it just doesnt seem to be getting any better. I am doing them in the right order, theres no sign of any air bubbles when i am bleeding them. The car has been left ovenight in the garage and there are no signs of leaks. The only thing I am doing different is using dot 5.1 but I dont see how they would be softer?!?

Help please before I start breaking stuff

Cheers All

Dunno if it helps, but I recently did the brakes on my bugeye and the bleed order was:

Front offside

Rear nearside

front nearside

rear offside.

I only replaced the front brakes and didn't even use 500ml of fluid to bring it up again! (I think the entire system is aroudn 1 litre.. (coudl be wrong)

According to the service manual

Front right

Rear left

Front left

Rear right

I believe the system only holds 500ml
