scouk Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Yes and not really. STi Intercooler is bigger and heavier.. But installing one wont see you get any "noticeable" performance gain. If getting the car tuned it can be reccomended as a safety option.. It will serve to help keep the air intake temperatures cooler when on boost, in theory it will also ensure reliability as the temps are lower.. Performance wise, You may gain an extra BHP or two which is nothjing in the real world.. You get bigger differences between cold and hot days!! Should point out I upgraded my WRX one to an STi one (also put the larger STI scoop to draw more air in) after pushing up the boost.. For safety reasons more than anything....
