Kind of puts you off others!!

Bobby, you'll need to let us know what figures you're getting after it's done.

Did you get the undertray from GRD as well? I've got a few things in the post on the way up from Surrey :D

Looking to have all my bits fitted and mapped Nov/Dec - just in time for getting based in Scotland for two years :D

Spoke to Carl from power supply at the rally today only require the rubber insert for the undertray as the plastic insert pops out to match up with the STI intercooler, got the intercooler from GRD it's not the best but it will do

Bobby spend a wee bit of time tidying up the intercooler, if your not too happy with it.

mine arrived like this

and after a wee bit of work

I also noticed some oil in the y-pipe so flushed out the intercooler with petrol.

What did you use to clean it up - mine looks more like the first picture than the second  - did you just clean it and rub it down or did you treat it with something?

Used a wire brush, fine wet & dry paper and "alloy metal paint" from B&Q, on the case.

Straightend any bent fins with a small knife and picked out small stones and dead flies with a toothpick, then cleaned with autoglym engine degreaser.

Fraser I'll give you the paint next time your over mate, only used half the can of aluminium & a spash of the red, longest job was making a new sti template

Cheers Bobby but I don't think I'll need it.

I have all my bits down at work and I think they will come up ok with a wire brush after giving them a quick go today.

Cheers for the offer though.......

Spent the day cleaning it up Iain finished off with aluminium paint now looking like pic No2  , got the undertray rubber seal from Carl at power station for £36, if anybodies looking for a newage STI intercooler he told me on the phone that has a brand new 2.5 sti intercooler & all the attachments for £400 inclusive of vat, a week too late never mind, he's also got a set of reasonably priced nearly new brembos. www.psupply.co.uk/

Those look like decent prices Bobby.
