tommo9375 Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 The sun came out so decided to give the car it's first proper clean/polish/wax,heres some pics - pity the light was fading and my camera isn't the best! Old and New. Thinking about getting the wheels on the bugeye powder-coated 'dark grey ' colour ,as two are slightly lighter than the others - does anyone on here know of someone decent to do it around the morayshire /aberdeeshire area and approx cost?
wulsey Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 looking good tommo! Doing your alloys Anthracite or Gun metal grey would look awesome mate! http://bbs.scoobynet.com/members-gallery-5...ark-wheels.html

mystery machine Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Minted - the light in the first pic's just right for giving it that glassy, surface-of-a-lake look. If that was my motor, by about pic 2 it'd have been heaving with solidifying pigeon keich...
Frank_STI Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Looks awesome mate! What wax did you use??
tommo9375 Posted September 9, 2008 Author Posted September 9, 2008 Looks awesome mate! What wax did you use?? Hi mate, Used Menzerna Intensive Polish first then Meguiars Carnauba wax ,was wanting to try some Blackfire stuff but my local car accessory shop doesn't stock it

I dare say he'll be in touch soon. He'll get a kicking if he doesn't! Stella will do nicely!
Frank_STI Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Menzerna polishes are great!! Only recently started using them, the finishing polish gives a crazy shine but by the looks of it so does the intensive polish. Nice work!! Polished Bliss have blackfire products if you are struggling to find them.

I've only been using Menzerna stuff in the last 9 months and really like it,will pick up some Blackfire stuff on my next jaunt to Aberdeen,i've heard it's the best for bringing the shine out on WR Blue scoobs Cheers for all the comments guys. nesevo Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hi, Your car looks great. As for the wheels i have just had my STi alloys done in dark Grey/gun metal and they came up great. Had them done by PPS in Inverurie. I'll dig out the number if you like and try to put up a photo of the wheels on my car.

jamesm Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Looking good I used the Menzerna Intensive and Finishing Polish with my G220 and the results were fantastic. To finish I used Blackfire All Diamond Protection. Good stuff, top it up every few weeks and still really pleased with the shine.
Frank_STI Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I've been using Jeff's JETT and Zaino Z8 for protection after the Menzerna Polishes and they leave a fantastic shine, but thats on silver paint.
